Default Best places In So Cal for a drive/run?

Any great places to go for a drive or mountain run? Sometimes I just feel like driving the Z when i'm bored during the day and night. Haven't been to on any mountain runs in San Bernardino, but i heard there's a couple? Let me know your best places to just cruise/drive/run.

Since you're in the IE, give the (Hemet) HWY74 to Idyllwild and take HWY243 to Morongo Casino. It's a nice short drive (about 50 miles).

For the weekend of the 23rd, there are two drives/runs being organized. One in northern SD and the other in Malibu. Both will have some really nice roads.

Glendora Mountain Road (GMR), I like going to Big Bear via the 330 or 18 hwy, Ortega Hwy is always a good one and Carbon Canyon (very short) from Chino Hills to Brea. However, I drove Mulhoulland Drive from home to school every day for years and it still is a blast...just busier now. You can take it from the hollywood fwy to the 405 fwy. Ya might even see a movie star or 2.

All the above places will be getting more crowded and more patrolled by the cops with the onset of summer. Just an FYI.

Yeah. Socal is really not the best area to do runs or even a cruise these days if you have a modified import. Cops are becoming more and more heartless and any excuse to pull you over is good enough for them.

I take Mulholland when I have to make it out to the westside. It's much more fun after 9:30pm or so when there's less traffic.

Sunset from the 405 to PCH is a really nice stretch of road. Unfortunately, it's filled with traffic most of the time. Normally when I'm on this road, it's just normal driving, so it's nothing special.

On a single occasion however, I did have the opportunity to run this road. It was with an older porsche group and we drove that road pretty much all out. It was quite a memorable experience to say the least.

As for the cop situation, well you can run into cops anywhere, on the highway or your local streets. You do have to pick your place, but I don't think it should deter people from going on drives.
