Wonder if anyone or group will challenge this. It is sure to grow...

"California law explicitly prohibits both speed cameras and per-ticket photo enforcement contract provisions, but the MRCA believes the law does not apply to them."
" Another provision specifies that, "A contract between a governmental agency and a manufacturer or supplier of automated enforcement equipment may not include provision for the payment or compensation to the manufacturer or supplier based on the number of citations generated." (CVC 21455.5)"
what the hell? how is this legal, then?

As long as there are no speed cameras, I'm fine with it. If you can't take the extra two seconds out of your life to stop at the stop sign all the way, something is wrong.
oh.....ive no problem with stop signs. i hate it when people do the whole california roll...stop signs exist for a reason. but i also don't think it's cool the MRCA thinks it can get away with evading the law because they technically might not be.. "law enforcement" or some bull**** like that.
