Default Dinner before Chillers on Saturday 5/10

Hey all,

So, whatch'all wanna do for dinner? I don't really know the Redondo area AT ALL, so if anyone knows anything good there or near there, please post it!

I did have 1 idea but I don't know what people would think, but what about like a pot-luck style dinner? Everyone just bring one thing, maybe someone brings drinks, the next person brings an appetizer, next person brings a salad, someone else brings pasta, etc. I'd volunteer my place if people were interested in doing that, I can accomidate probably 7-10 people for dinner @ my apartment.

Other than that, post your ideas! Currently I guess the list is:

DCZoner
Iris
Kaiser23
RobertL

See y'all Saturday...

I WOULD like to see DcZoner's place -- but I don't know what to bring. I wouldn't subject you guyz to my cooking, haha. So it might end up being Taco Bell and pizza....

Kaiser said he wanted steak. Is there a Cheesecake around there? Or something like that?

if you go to long beach.. Then there are some places near DCzoner's home... but don't forget about travel time from his place to the club.

Hey, so what are we doing about dinner? Gotta decide today!

I don't care -- if Mother's day is going to screw up all the restaurants, I have no problems going to DCzoner's and ordering stuff like pizza, Baja Fresh burritos, etc..

Pizza at DC's sounds fine to me. I can get a steak some other time.

How's parking at your place Dave?

Posted on the clubbing thread

what do you guys feel like for dinner.
Also how much do you want to spend.

There's some stuff on the redondo beach pier which will allow you to park early in the chiller's lot... They serve food at chillers I think burgers and stuff.

There are some asian places on PCH: Thai and Japanese.

IF you want bbq there's a place on Hawthorne between Carson and Torrance blvd. Called Lucilles.

Um there's a bucca de beppos on pch and palos verdes blvd.
Caters to a lot of people.

Remember to park in the Albertson lot better for your cars...

Questions?

I don't really care honestly. Might be cool to just chill at DC's for a bit before the club, but whatever.

As far as the albertson's lot thing, may be better for our cars on some level, but there are still shopping carts. I still have nightmares about what it must have been like for my Z in the costco parking lot that one day. All by itself. In a nice big spot, and suddenly the sound of rattling shopping cart wheels barreling toward her. I wake up in a cold sweat.

didn't mean to insult you boo boo or make you sad....

$20 a person or less? DC is still a student after all.

Whatever people want is really ok with me. Somebody with a preference just needs to make a call.

And you guys need to make it to Chillers on time..

There will be adjustment to the list so I need to make sure most people get in.

Right now iris, dan (hfm), dave(dczoner), and sean(kaiser23) will be people that will need take other people in + 2 guests each.

Um, bobo, might not be a great idea to have the people who are all gonna be arriving together be the ones responsible for bringing in 2 other people. But if you've already set it up, then I guess we'll just have to deal.

Also, if you've got arranged the guests that we're bringing in, then we'll just have to make sure we meet out in front of the club or something and then go in.

Alright, as it stands right now my place is kinda a mess, so maybe it wouldn't be such a great idea comin over here (I'm in the middle of 2 big design projects which means both my bedroom & the living room are kinda covered in prototyping & rendering materials)...

I think we could definitely find some things in the area tho, I was thinking what about more "mainstream" places that might be in redondo, ie olive garden, applebees, chili's, chevy's, tgifridays, etc. Also if someone's in the mood for pizza there is a california pizza kitchen on pch down here in long beach thats pretty good (bbq chicken pizza, yum!)

So yeah, I think we really need to seriously figure this out tho.

As of right now this seems like the Kaiser, DC & Iris thread, is anyone else interested???

Sorry to remove my place from the running. Also parking here is kidna $hit. I'm down for whatever tho.

Oh yeah, Iris & kaiser, could u guys pm me ur cell #'s (i just got a new cell, so i don't have any of my old #'s)... My #'s still the same.

See y'all tomorrow!

I like Chili's, then CPK, then Olive Garden. Never been to Applebee's but wouldn't mind trying. DON'T want to do TGIF.

Also, I thought hfm and Robert might show up for dinner?

Ok, if we have to be at the club at 10:30, does this mean we should meet at 7:30? That would give us time to eat, etc. from 8 or 8:30 - 10 (I'm assuming some crowds and wait time) with 1/2 an hour to get to the club.

7:30 it is??

Kaiser & DC, I'll pm you w/my #.

Don't have a cell (I know, I know), but I'll get in touch with you guys early evening tomorrow night.

Any of Olive Garden, CPK, or Chili's would be fine with me. I'd actually vote for TGIF, but Iris seems to have very strong feelings toward TGIF.

7:30's cool with me.

Ok, there's a CPK at the South Bay Galleria, which is like 4 miles from the club so that would be convenient.

And there's a chilis just down the street (literally, it's on hawthorne) from the club in torrance. less than 3 miles away.

I'd kinda rather do Chilis (steak!!) than CPK personally, but whatever you guys want.

DC, I don't know which of the branches you're talking about, so just pick one and tell us to meet you there.

*on the chili's site, the one for Torrance is listed as the closest one to Redondo?
Torrance-Chili's
21835 Hawthorne Blvd.
Torrance, CA 90503-7003 US
310-792-9012
*

So just pick a place and location (I'll speak for hfm, he isn't picky about food) and we'll meet you at 7:30.

Oh, and boo boo has changed the ETA to 10:00 pm, not 10:30 now.

*edit: kaiser is right, this Torrance Chili's is 3 miles from chillers/latitudes. sound good with everybody?

you guys should just go to fridays and start the party early.

BTW olive garden in this neck of the woods is alway busy. Damn Chinese and Indian families.

There's a Black Angus on Carson between Hawthorne and Madrona.

My suggestion would be to have BBQ at Lucilles next to Good Guys @ Del Amo Mall.
