I know, california laws. *sigh* I just got back from living in washington for 6 yrs and I'm already feeling smothered. I think california will be the next dictator communist country. LOL
btw...do I HAVE to swap licence and license plates or can I keep my washington ones? I hope I can keep em #1 I'm military. #2 I registered to vote in Wa. #3 I got my drivers license in Wa. The last 2 makes me a washington resident right?

The earpeice law goes into affect in 2008. There are no fines for car pool lane about $280.
Competition of speed is not a felony unless property damager or injury/death occurs. Other than that you get the usual fines and tow.
I hate californians because they beleive EVERYTHING they see on fox 11 news and the internet. Oh and there flakey lol...
Wait... dammit I live here!!!! NOoooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

Yes, you can keep your tags since you are not a resident of CA. Do you have a address in Wa to send your registration to so that you can keep your plates? I've been here for 3yrs and still have my N.C plates. I use my parents address for registration purposes.

+1 i heard about it being a hoax as well, my father asked his police officer friend and he claimed it was not real, he said until you see it on the newspaper or on the news its probably not real just some phony chain email
either or i hope it does help people drive better because there are soooo many f*cktards on the road nowadays
whats up Ric how have you been?
About a year ago in Oregon they imposed a new law for speeding (not specific to racing) and they basically take your license for a few years, impound your car, and it's a felony on your record. Not sure about jail time though. I believe it was "anything over 100mph" which qualified for this stricter stuff. Maybe CA is looking at something similar?
I know the cell phone thing is going into affect sometime in the future. They have stated it on the news, but when it goes into affect I dont know. In NY they already have that law. Also, speeding. Going triple digits will get you fined, towed, and overall screwed. If your lucky, they'll let you go, just like my sister one night when she was going 110 on the freeway... There wasnt anyone else on the freeway and she didnt realize she was going that fast and thats why the cop let her go.
