Default Is Ebay allowed to use our car pictures?

Just curious because I was going through Ebay and found several sellers using pictures of my car to advertise knock off parts. I was wondering if that was okay for them to do?

it happens all the time. Ebay has used pictures of my Widebody MR@, my #50Z and my Cavalier. I find the pictures all over the internet. It almost seems unavoidable.

WORST thing was, 2 seperate people tried to use my MR2 pictures to SELL the car! Some fool in Oklahoma and someone in North Carolina, and another ad on ebay someone was tryign to sell the car. Obviously if they don't own my car they couldn't sell it, but that didn't stop them from trying to make a quick buck off someone who might fall for it.

it depends.. if they're selling turbonator or inferfooler along with my hi res, money shot pic, I'd be pissed... with genuine topsecret product (which I doubt) would be ok.

Definitely should message ebay and the seller.

Also, if they simply used your hosted image instead of making a copy of it you can have even more fun. Replace the image with an image of some beater car, or the goatse image.

You can contact the seller. Not sure if that will do any good. eBay takes very limited responsibility for listings.

Good luck suing. You should find a hacker to ruin their ebay account.
