Hey, how many here would be interested in a Magic Mountain Meet? (M3 )

I've been in LA for a year and a half, and I've never been to Magic Mountain, and I want to GO! Every time I drive by it, the towering skyline of rollercoasters is SO tantalizing, but alas. All of my friends have been there a bazillion times, and no one wants to go. I was thinking maybe sometime in mid-late June? Anyone interested?

I LOVE magic mountain and have not been there in a couple of years.

I know there are several new rides I have not gotten the chance to go on yet.

If the timing is right I am in.

I do suggest you set it up for a Tuesday or Wednesday though. MUCH shorter lines, MANY more times on the good rides!

Can most of you do it on a Tues or Wednesday?

Maybe you should contact MM for a group rate!?!

 

Depending on timing I'd like to do it too. Haven't been in awhile. June though, even on the weekdays -- lots of young punks out of school. Oh well, no real way to get around that. Just have to watch kaiser and make sure he doesn't start ****. j/k

 

*Love* Magic Mountain...went the second weekend it was open this season - froze my *** off!

The new ride, Xtreme...KICKS MAJOR ***!!!!!!!

Anyway, I can get discount tickets through my company, just have to buy them from my personnel department in advance. Regular price is $44.99 - I can get them for $21.50.

And yeah, during the week is way better. Just please please please don't plan it too late in June or the first two weeks in July (I have a major work thing the second week in July, so wouldn't be available).

 

Yes the young punk factor is really bad. I would NOT park my Z there . I've heard many horror stories about vandalism there.

Really sad, the place used to be a nice place to go with no worries. 10 years ago I don't even remember them using metal detectors.

 

I'm in .... But, I'm with zxsaint on this. there's no way I am parking my Z there.

Hmm, I could probably do a weekday as long as I could give work a couple weeks notice. What would everyone else say about going on a weekday?

grayfox - that would be awesome. Is there any limit to the number of tickets you can get? I would be forever indebted to you.

Me too. I could be in if the timing was right and it wasn't the first week of June. If I can go, I have a minivan that fits 7.

 

So, I'm hearin mid June as the best time. Plus most kids are still in school.

June 9-11 (Mon-Wed)
June 16-18

Both work for me (so far).

Well, when I went last month, we took my Z and it was no problem...I wasn't worried and we were there laaaaaaate (left the park at 11:30pm).

Lemme call personnel and see if there is a limit on the tix. =)

But in all seriousness, I'd rather not take my Z just cuz I've already been keyed by haters. I don't need another one.

So let's take a little poll here. Out of June 9, 10, and 11 (M T W), which day would be best for y'all? Any day is fine with me.

As far as transportation goes, taking a couple big vehicles there would be cool, but we'd have to have a place to meet up, and park all our cars. I personally don't mind just driving the Z there. If Sh*t is gonna happen, it's gonna happen. I learned that lesson the first week of owning my Z. And I'm sure of all the places I park my car, magic mountain is the place where something is probably LEAST likely to happen. Can't spend all your time worrying about that anyway.

Any of those 3 is fine, although I would probably prefer not Monday (just b/c I expect more sh*t to happen Monday).

Well, if we flank the Z's with the non-Z's, less stuff is likely to happen, right? I'll bring a non-Z to be one of the buffers.

 

I'm up to go but need to know the date a little before hand. From the dates you guys just gave I'll be up in San Francisco on business those two week. Anyway we can move it to the end of the week.... like thur or fri. If not.. no problem. I lived in LA nearly my whole life.
Oh and I think my cousin was just telling me he had some coupon for magic for lik 15.99 I think. I'll see if he has any more
