Default fcuken ridiculous..

one of my father's cars is a 2005 Lexus RX330 which has currently 27k miles. It is over due for an oil change but i did notice a hummming either the powersteering or AC... not too concerned about it since it seems a bit minor and i still am within the factory warranty so i email Lexus of Glendale to schedule a simple oilchange and to check out the hummming sound [x] and clicked on the box for a free carwash I get a response email saying oh yeah we schedule an appointment for your 30k mile service its ONLY $499.99 !!! So i emailed them professionally stating i just needed a simple oil change and just to peep out that hummmming sound and i get a response telling me " Oh sorry you are scheduled only for that service WE DO NOT PERFORM JUST A SIMPLE OIL CHANGE SERVICE ANYMORE ??

didnt know my dads lexo was stunna status like a japanese cheyenne or something

WTF?? !!!!

wish we had good service in lexus as we have for our nissans

Funny thing is, $499 is a good price for the 30k service from a Lexus dealer. Newport Beach and Tustin Lexus wanted over $800 for the same thing. 30k is basically changing all the fluids...what a rip

i know about the prices on service and i know for higher end cars it would cost a bit more i didnt mind that i just felt that they were trying to just sell me the 30k service to make money

i think it is pure nonsense that a dealership like them cannot just perform a simple oilchange which i have done in the past over there a few times

it just seems like they want more money

I would avoid Lexus of Glendale. Charge alot and still can't fix a simple oil leak on my Lexus GS300 (1st Gen). Hell, even I did a better job myself fixing the leak.

I was quoted $550 to change all the fluids (exept tranny, 100k maintenance free tranny ) on my 2002 330i. I then ask for a loaner and the dealer didn't give out "loaners". I can't wait to sale that POS. I want a simple Japanese car. I think I will replace it with a MS6 or a TSX.

That's how dealerships make money, especially when they produce reliable cars that never see the service bay other than for their scheduled services.
