+1 the plenum and the bar is adjusted higher, so of course it's not going to fit the same way. Definitely buyer's fault for not disclosing these adjustments prior to sale so that Ben could've done something or suggested another route beforehand. Threatening a respected member on this forum and an overall good person is just childish.

and it sounds like he didn't even tell the seller (ben?) the real reason it didn't fit.

maybe he did though, but then I don't know why the seller is even sweating this.

Forums is a great way to get out a quick sale, but with that large crowd you attract, a handful of them are full of chit an either cheap, uncertain, or whiners. He probably just needed a reason to get his money back to pay his credit card or car payment. Who know's these days. Some people are so desperate. I saw this one ad where someone was selling one of their cars to pay their months mortgage!

+1.
hi guys this is eric.
i really do feel bad for not reimbursing ben for the hood. ben is a really good friend of mine and a very friendly/reasonable person. the buyer loses this case... cmon, if you inspected the hood two times, took it home for a week, and it doesnt fit because u adjusted your oem strut because of your plenum spacer, and want a refund... thats a lot to ask for no? anyways, ben, good luck on this case, and i hope he doesnt pull a shady on you in any way. time to load up your sig *just in case*

dood you guys fukcen rock !!! much love to the my350z community - Rick, Paul, Danny,Ed, Eric, Howard, Larry, Quan, Joey, Mel, Toyo Mike, Mike and the rest of you guys i hope to get to know i appreciate the support and my respect goes out to you guys

honestly that was interesting how you guys found his post on the hood not fitting correctly due to his own "adjustments". He never told me about the reason it probably didnt fit is because of his mods and strut bar adjustment and spacer.

from my understanding he even told me he took the bar off and the damn thing didnt fit.....

i really do appreciate the support and im glad im part of a kick @$$ community with such great people.

and i wasnt really sweating the threats i just thought it was a bit childish and annoying if one day i get my car keyed up or a broken window or even sucker punched out of the blue

thanks much props and respect to all of you, i really tried to be more understanding but as it was revealed on this thread the "real" reason the hood wouldnt fit was from his own "modifications"....not cool

Ben forgot to mention that to show his appreciation FREE KITS FROM SHINE!!! Wait, what? That wasn't part of your thanks.

Seriously though, there isn't much I can say that someone else hasn't already said, but Ben really is one of the friendliest people on the forums and is always trying to help people out. Its obvious that the buyer isn't really a part of this community or else he would already know how cool Ben is and not have tried this sh*t.

I can't believe I didn't see this thread earlier.

Used parts are always sold "as is". It's the buyers responsibility to inspect the merchandise they are purchasing. Ben you did nothing wrong, and in fact you went above and beyond to make the guy happy. A+ in my book man.

Oh btw, your avatar rocks.

I'm not saying this just because Ben is my friend and all, i'm saying this because it is the truth.

+1, I've trusted Ben with thousands of dollars before (Bought my full kit off Ben). Product was as stated, fitment was perfect, everything was smooth. Ben would never EVER screw anyone over. He's already done so much for the 350z community, it would be very stupid to screw up his rep over a stupid cf hood.. just doesn't make sense. Obviously the buyers car is set up differently, causing the hood to fit differently.
