this is him, right?

if it is, don't worry about him. I've been reading through his posts and he seems harmless. The reason that your hood doesn't fit is his fault. Besides, once you buys something from a private party, the deal is done as soon as money changes hands. If it doesn't fit, then he needs to try to sell it to someone else. End of story.

I would like the credit for finding the culprit of why the hood didn't fit. (see post#18)

thanks in advance.

Just Kidding. Hope you guys work it out. There is no use trying to discredit the buyer as well since we are not in his shoes. It's wrong to say we know all the facts from just reading these posts.

I better stop before someone says I'm in the Navy and play Golf and like 3 numbers.

+1, I've trusted Ben with thousands of dollars before (Bought my full kit off Ben). Product was as stated, fitment was perfect, everything was smooth. Ben would never EVER screw anyone over. He's already done so much for the 350z community, it would be very stupid to screw up his rep over a stupid cf hood.. just doesn't make sense. Obviously the buyers car is set up differently, causing the hood to fit differently.
I get a good vibe from people and hanging with Ben a few times he seemed like a upfront and honest person. I can read people pretty good a spot a shady person a mile away. If that was the case with Benny Boy I would be posting different..........

He left with it on saying he would just fix it later, but after awhile he wanted his money back (3 weeks later). I already bought a new EF9 CF hood so I couldn't give him the money back. I feel bad for both parties.

of course you get credit honestly you pretty much found out the solution what the "real deal" with the fitment of the hood was. it wasnt because the hood didnt fit like how he was complaining to me and accusing me of "doing him wrong" he failed to state to me that he had a plenum spacer where he needed to mod his stock strutbar a bit by lifting it which was the reason he clearly stated the hood didnt fit...

the whole point of this thread was to notify fellow Z members what they may encounter while selling off 2nd hand parts and how people may react, im glad pretty much everyone saw it my way, but the problem with this guy was he was accusing me of "ripping him off" and even threatened me which was pretty uncool of him but in any case quoting him on the problem of the his pointed the fingers to him because the problem was in his own hands.

he blatantly told me that he took the strut bar off and it didnt fit but apparently on his other post that was the problem

hands down thanks to you we found out the truth which honestly kind of made him look bad because his intentions were for other reasons, i see it as he didnt like the style of the hood or just got frustrated that he could not use his strut bar so he decided to take it out on me

in any case thanks everyone for your overwhelming support ... you guys f|_|cken rock !!!

Still no response from the buyer in this thread? If that pic is him, you better hope you don't get sick and need medical attention.

I can understand if he never saw it in person and bought it over the internet but in this case, you didn't do anything wrong and are going beyond of what a seller should do. Maybe you are too nice which is why you are being taken advantage of.
+ 1 Well put.
