Default How long of a drive from SGV to Irvine

Guys,

How much time do I need to give myself to make it to Irvine (Von Karman) from covina. I have to be there at 10 a.m (Friday). I am taking the 57 S.

This is for an interview. Last time, I was late and don't want to do that again.

FWIW traffic in Irvine starts to get better after 8:30AM.

If you leave at 8:00-8:15AM you'll have to deal with lots of traffic but will arrive with some time to spare and relax. It's better to be 30mins early than 2 minutes late.

I was able to get from Pomona to Irvine via 60/57/5 and ironically took it on a Friday as well. 57 is slow around the 91 and then on the 5 interchange but it took me a little under an hour leaving at 8am from Pomona.
