I saw on the news about 4 months ago that due to a crash that killed a few teens, that Riverside was REALLY cracking-down on not just racing but modified cars period. They had a news crew out there and it was basically set-up like a DUI checkpoint. Any car that they THOUGHT might be modified would automatically get ticketed and towed. They had some kid (17 or so) who had a POS Civic and all he had was an air intake. What was funny is that he must've been missing a vacuumhose so he was using a taped-up sharpy marker as the tube. Anyways, he got his stuff towed because the intake, which he probably bought from Kragen for $15, wasn't CARB legal. The impound fee alone is probably more than the car was worth.

The news camera showed cops peering into Explorers and Crown Vic (just to make it LOOK like they were playing fair) but we all know any car that was Japanese or German was getting its hood popped.

Outrageous if you ask me. If I woudla been rolling through, I would've been in deep ****. No way in hell they are going to let a DB Z on gold GT-C's just roll through.

Anyways, you guys experiencing any problems with the cops out there?

Here is the real story of what happen

Yeah, I know exactly what went down and unfortunately, it was because of the race between the Evo and the SRT-4.

The Evo and the SRT-4 went to run on the freeway and the Srt beat the Evo three times in a row, so the Evo got angry and decided to race from a dig... on 3rd street... Which was SOOOO stupid. Anyways, the ran again, and the Srt-4 beat him again, but this time, there were cops behind them. So the SRT pulled over, and the Evo decided to run from them. So he ran and jumped on the Freeway and had about 10 police officers and a helicopter chasing him. He was supposebly going 160 mph in the emergency lane, (while spraying Nitrous) until his motor blew and he cruised to a stop. The police then proceded to arrest him, and then disbanded the meet shortly after.

So thats what happened.
This is sad being a evo owner myself

Don't worry. Put those two cars on a race circuit and its a whole different ball game.

I could put a small rocket on a skateboard and beat a SRT if you get my drift.

not really SRT's pack a pretty mean punch as much as i despise that car, i just wouldnt even bother to save my self the possible embarassment if i were to lose to an SRT but then again i dont street race so chances of that happening are slim....

No dude, we're talking about a track with a variety of turns, sweepers and elevation changes. The SRT would get raped.

EVO's live for those kind of tracks.

You think a skateboard with a sizeable rocket would still get beat by an SRT?

WTF?
