you guys crack me up

in a related note...

An old couple stopped next to me in a Major intersection asking if I can roll down my windows.

Upon rolling my windows they asked me what kind of car I was driving.

I anwered "its a Nissan Z."

They said ohhh it looks like a Porche and the Nisan Z doesnt look like that obviously youve done a lot with it we see the wing the seats and the wheels. "What else did you do" they asked.

I said "I have doors that come up."

They said, "What? Please show us."

I said "I can't we are in a major intersection!"

They kept on insisting and finally I gave up I opened my driver side door.

You should have seen the look on their face and evey one in the intersection was pointing to my car hahaha!

I dunno that just made my day. That day a lot of people recognized the hard work we did for this car. Its nice to see their shocked faces and smiles.

oh yea.. a few more questions:

1. do you have to move the door out the 5 inches prior to lifting up?

2. what's stopping the door from going past the 5 inches? is there a bumpstop/limiter?

3. what's the company's name again? Decah?

4. how did you fill those holes you made for alignment that you didnt use? doh!

1. yes and actually its even more than 5 inches. enough for a normal person to get in and out of the car with out showing off the "lambo conversion" if youre feeling conservative.

2. yes there are multiple stoppers to prevent the door for opening further. ( you shall see all of this as soon as VQracer uploads the video I made. )

3. We will be distributing this Kit as soon as the kicks and knacks are gone. So contact me in a few weeks

4. We had to weld the holes shut. Grind it to make it flat. Then drill new holes again.

I wish I was there with you to catch those old peoples reaction. LOL, sweet job man. Question, I see that when you doors go out like you say a 'V' shape...say I was parked in a parking lot and had 2 cars next to me, say SUVS/Vans...would the doors hit there car if I tried to open it up all the way to the V shape?

Is the shop that the theattack is getting is car done doing the V shape as well?

Thanks again in advance bud.

like i said in the previous post somewhere in this thread you dont need to swing the door up to get in the car. it will open just like a normal door with enough room to let you in before it locks in place and you need to push it up.

the movie that i made will help explain this better... Victor we need the movie!

XBS - thanks for the compliments. im very close to spending half of what I originally spent to buy my Track Z and I still havent touched the engine nor the sound system. Aghhh my wife is about to kill me if she finds out the total!

brakedustZ - they kept the dyno sheet and i cant discuss the actual numbers. lets just say they did as the promised. i love the sound!

Chebosto - that click is normal its the transition from the horizontal to the vertical hinge.
