I don't think any turbo in California for 350z is streel legal or smog legal yet.

I got the JWT 700bb Twins and hopefully never get caught.

Don't worry about the cops, you live once enjoy it! Get a beater for your daily and FI your Z feel the TORQUE

 

you CAN have one.....BUT if it's not from nissan.....it is ILLEGAL

you get caught...you go see the referee....then they either keep your car or fine the fawk out of you and make you take it off.

 

If the cop ask you to pop your hood and notice your turbo more likely you will have to remove the turbo kit and have it inspect at a local station after you remove your turbo for sure and a fine.

 

just dont bling the **** out of your engine bay, and tell the cop is factory or its a new version of the Z released. Most cops wont care as long as your not driving like an a$$hole.

 

Im sure there are plenty of turbod Z's in california, espeically when shops like GTM are around.

a lot of the cops out there dont know what their lookin at....their more up on the honda's and acuras...iv'e been pulled over atleast 10 times....since my kit was put on...and my car is LOUD.....iv'e had my hood pope'd atleast 5 of the times....and the cops dont say anything....so..it depends a lot on the cop that u have....plus...the "Twin Turbo Z" emblem on the back....iv'e told a cop it came like this from the factory...and he believed me!!!!LOL

 

You can get a state ref ticket, or even have the car impounded.

no turbo for HR yet. And there's always a chance. When/if you get one... Stay away from alhambra/montery park... They now have people who specialize in this as well as swaps

 

With the JWT Turbos, the big intercool in the front is a dead give away, I was thinking of painting it black so it will look like a radiator.
