Default Kitchen remodeling

please give tips on this. Price, quality, style, price.. not a big place. I've checked out couple of places.. going for a granite top, spinning corner tray.. maybe tiled backside. need a price range that excludes appliances. thanks.

I know it seems odd, but check out IKEA. Jen and I did our house with their stuff and have never been happier with a remodel. Plus it was much cheaper than Home Depot.

Im remodeling my home aswell, go to home depot, I've been in and out all week and just bought my new carpet and tile there. They've got stuff for a really good price and dont charge much at all for labor.

1 u dont want cheapo home depot cabinets and 2 please go with stone and not laminate/formica/corian countertops ull get more use out of granite counters just cause they deal with hot/cold very well, u can put hot pans/pots directly onto stone and it is perfect for defrosting foods as well. look for cabinets that are ALL WOOD, u dont want cheap particle board cabinets as well as the drawers and shelves.

do not use home depot or ikea, you are going to just ge hit with a big bill, they out source the work and make 5 times or even more the amount, My brother in law does that work really good and you get more for your buck. PM if interested

There are advantages and disadvantages to every type of counter top. As with all things, do your research and pick what works best for you and your needs.

It is true that HD outsources their work. Pretty common. The company who they outsourced to, outsourced the trim to someone else. That means if I would have gone directly with the installer, they STILL would have outsourced the molding.

I'm not sure what "make 5 times or even more the amount" means, but if you mean that they are 5 times more expensive than other people, I would seriously doubt that.

We got three quotes. HD was in the middle and we liked our service person best.
