Here's some simple advice and knowledge to GAIN ENTRY because Hollywood can be superficial.

-First, most venues have a guestlist. The guestlist is not as special as you think it is but if you're not on it, you have a less chance of getting in. Also, everyone from all parts of CA county flock to Hollywood to party so However the VIP list is.

-Most of the time, all you have to do, is know a promoter and drop his name. It is a rarity when they literally have you on a list(old school). Usually, that's for special private events.

ADVICE FOR GUYS:
-Group of Guys (I only take table reservations) and I do help bring girls to the table to mingle. I try to take care of my people, unless, you don't want me to.

-Single Guys, must bring girls(at least 2) if you can bring a whole entourage of girls, you can get in VIP style, I'll put you on the VIP list so you won't be turned down and look a little incompetent.

-The early you arrive the safer and better chance of getting in and talkin' with the doorperson.

-Or you can find some girls in line and try to gain the Doorperson's attention and tell them you're with a few lovely girls. They will most likely let you in.

Ladies,..on this forum, ha! That's a rarity so there is no need to explain.

do you promote anywhere else? area, le duex, opera?

 

I used to promote at Les duex and Area but those venues like to stay very posh and you will wait in line unless you get a table, on the primary vip list, house vip list. Or you're with 5 or more smokin' girls. Remember? This is Hollywood. Pretty girls are a dime and dozen.

On Weds AREA I have a friend that promotes there but you're gonna be waiting unless you're with a bunch of girls.

Tues Les duex and saturday "pretty boy" entertainment runs the show. 2 bottle minimum or was it three. They're a much longer wait.

If you want to get in these venues, the average Joe smoe's best way to get in with less hassle is what I mentioned above.

What days are you specifically looking for? I can find out who may be runnin' the show.

oh and me and my buddy we're able to get into area last fri night... suprisingly hassle free.. got there at 10:30, were in by 10:40... no cover!!!! but i know what you saying that sometimes it could be reeeeeeaally difficult... some names of peeps to talk to would be great thanks!

yeah sugar is pretty cool, their music is really loud though...my ears were ringing for a few days.

 

OMG.

Last night was pretty bad. I've never seen it this slow, it's poppin every Wed night. But two reasons why it wasn't a great turnout. One, the wed was bought out (maybe another **** flick) but it got canceled the day after so it was a last minute push. Second, I heard from other sources that hit up other clubs were all runnin' a bit slow because of the weather.

Regardless, for those who want to hit up "Ritual" (It was the old White Lotus) TOMORROW night, HIT ME UP ASAP!

True, but I posted a thread a while back. Your friends' venues seem like it's "Asian Nights." Correct me if I'm wrong.

As for my venues, I purposely promote "Mixed Crowds" and we have a few celebs comin' out here and there or sometimes hosting.

 

Celebrities, huh? Like who? Yea, it's actually Asian nights at any venue they promote at but you'd be surprised, it's actually pretty mixed. Mixed crowds are definitely dope as well but judging from your flyer, it looks like you're promoting to the Latino demographic. I'm going to have to come by and check it out one of these days. Sounds like a pretty fun party.

It really depends, most of the time A list celebs are rarely advertised in the promotions to weed out the crazy *** fans.

For example my boy promoted Meagan Good's birthday party at Les Deux on Tues. Shes a "B" or "C" list actress, look her up, you'll recognize her credits.

Her friends showed up to which happened to be Jamie Foxx, Marlon Wayons, a few athletes I wouldn't recognize because I'm not a hardcore sports fan.
Jamie Foxx was giving out orange Grey Goose shots in a bunch of girls mouths all night. Joey from Nsync was tryin' to hook up with a friend of mine...but maybe not because he's married. You get the point.

I've promoted a few Pornstar parties, alot of release parties. Just recently and my other boy promoted "Game's DJ Bday party to which "Game" showed and partied up.

In all honesty it's all blah blah blah blah blah blah to me, it's my job to hype this $hit up lol.

Just as long as...

1. My people come out, especially my girls,
2. I meet some fine girls and cool dudes....
