Default Problem with the z

Well for some reason when I start the car it idles down to almost 0 like it's going to die and doesn't them goes up to 1000RPMs. Lastnight we started installing my amp and sub box but nothing is connected to the battery. Anyone have a clue its never happend before any other time just started lastnight and does it everytime I start up.

But if I'm on the freeway and come to a stop it's fine. It doesn't try to die

Well after the start and its goes it's just below 1000 rpms. It's weird cause the lights don't dim or anything. Just wants to idle low like it's going to die.

You sure about that??

The only time you have to deal with the TB is if you disconnect it and don't reconnect it before turning the key to the car.

Be more specific as to what you've done to the car since this has started happening.

I hvent did anything to the engine or anything. I installed a amp 2 10s and compaitor.

I have a question under the passenger side of the car under the side skirt there is a bump that runs from front to back what inside there? cause my brother drove my car and couldn't get it out the driveway and went off the crub and it dented that thing pretty bad. any gas line or anything run through there? its just fluttering I'm driving right now. never seen this car run like this.

Well you may want to take a look under your car if you know something bad has happened to it. At this point, it could be anything.

Probably not since once it drained the battery, the car would just not start at all.

Why does everyone keep suggesting battery? What does idle have to do with a battery? Don't Z's have a voltage indicator?

TPS? IAT Sensor? Dirty filter? MAF Sensor? Those might be more likely culprits.

here's a similar situation. you might want to try the individual's solution which Jarred mentioned.

This is the area that got smashed up when it got caught on the curb. Ill try to take pictures once it stops raining. It's like a grey over with something rough sprayed on it. it just smashed in. The problem has stopped though for some reason.

Loose wire?

BTW, no worries about damaging anything on that spot on the car other than cosmetic.

Thats what I thought just looked like a plastic piece. Just wanted to make sure no gas line or electric lines ran under it and got smashed.
