Default Free Wells Fargo Checking

Hey Guys, I'm on here a lot and I don't really know many members here but I just wanted to put this offer out there. I am a personal banker at Wells Fargo and we're offering free checking accounts with free overdraft protection to everyone. I'm sure you guys already do have checking accounts but consider it because it's completely free when you open it with me. Let me know I need to bring in some checking accounts.

i think i'm gonna go to WAMU....they have free checking and they offered me a pretty good low interest credit card.

will wells fargo give current customers free checking now or what?

+100

As long as you maintain $300 or have direct deposit the account is free - or at least it was 15 years ago when I opened my accounts with them.

I heard Wells Fargo offers a free checking account if you open a savings account at the same time that automatically transfers a set balance, min $25 a month, from you checking to your savings.

There's many ways to make things "free" at WellsFargo. The legit way is to either be a student and open a student checking, or do the 25 dollar transfer, or have direct deposit. But if you wine and complain enough to the personal banker, he can place "waivers" on your account for up to 12 cycles.(12 months)

After having numerous business and personal accounts with various banks, I always noticed that Wells Fargo had the highest and most fees. I don't think I could recommend them at all for a basic account. However, if you have considerable equity their personal banking assistants can be helpful. My last bank tried to charge me for checks and I simply told them they could either issue me free checks or cut me a cashiers check for all of my accounts. Needless to say I got free checks. Banks make a ton of cash by having your money in their account, don't let them charge you a freaking dime.

If you place a waiver on an account that you are not suppose to, or when you don't even have the authority to place any type of waiver, then you are sure to get a pink slip out the door. Believe me....

As long as it's on your authority card you can. I garantee you that every personal banker is allowed to place waivers. I was a lead teller and I had the authority to do it.

Come give Kinecta Federal Credit Union a try. :-) I'll take care of you.
