As you all know QX1, otherwise know as PPW is hard to color match. I got alot of good recommendtions to see Makito. I took the Z down last Thursday, and during the painting process and fitting, etc. Makito kept in touch with me to let me know what was going on. He called me this morning to let me know he was done shooting the FB, SS, RL, and Roof; and to come down to check it out. Once I got there he said that the SS and RL were alittle to white so he was going to re-shoot it. However, the FB is spot on I believe, maybe a 1/2 tint lighter, otherwise not to bad. Also, he painted the roof gloss black, looks damn good. Here are some pics...sorry for the crap cell phone pics...

Looks good. Makito is definitely known for his quality work and he'll probably be getting my car in another month or so.

Yeah Kevin from Shine and one of the members on here recommended me. Makito said he worked on my car yesterday, Christmas, thats just nuts. He is a very hard working and prides himself on his work.

 

I AM NOT HATING AT ALL!!! But I dont feel like the match is that great. +1 for a nice kit though. I am very glade that I ended up going to sixteen customs next door.

 

to each his own...but if you read in my op Makito was going to re-shoot cuz it didn't match well.

 

^He did the same for my friend that had PPW and still didn't come out with enough flake and the white was a couple shades to dark.
Don’t get me wrong, Makito is tight but he even said "you get what you pay for" and referred to his paint, being that it is a lot cheaper than other paint competitors.

Here it is fresh from Makito's...and put my TE Progressives back on after they were re-powder coated.

 

Kit looks pretty good but the color on those wheels just doesn't look right imo.

 

He charges pretty expensive though, $200 for each sideskirt, and $275 for front lip. Theyre just small pieces too...

 

if those wheels were white it would be banginggg

 

I wanted a darker shade of silver, I might get them repowder coated again either gunmetal/black pearl or if they can a suitable match to the PPW.

 

Yeah alittle expensive but well worth it.

It's good to hear you took it to Makito's bro... I like to think to myself that im not one of those picky mf's out there, but it's in my korean blood. Yes it's not an exact match, but its the closest i've seen(trust me, i've been around). +1 for Seven Apple.
