Default PSA: do NOT use the valet @ the sunset media building

hi guys-

just a note.. if you're ever in hollywood, do NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT use the valet @ the sunset media tower, aka the house of blues building, on the northwest corner of sunset and argyle, across argyle from the palladium. they turn our parking garage into a valet every night and since i work pretty late, the valet guys are always set up and working by the time i leave. i have seen them abuse the NICEST cars. usually it's just a little chirping of the tires, accelerating and braking way too fast [which is too dangerous in any parking garage] but yesterday took the cake, when i saw/heard one of the guys bottom out a maserati on the parking ramp. made my heart cry

so, for your and your car's sake, if you're going to the well [the bar in this building], the palladium, or anywhere else around here, don't valet here!!! there are many other public parking lots available on the same block and you'd be better off parking it yourself and walking 30 ft than using the valet.

I would say something to the management, even if it isn't my maserati I would be pissed. There such nice cars, they don't deserve to be treated like that.

You're not talking about the actual HOB venue though, right? I've used the valet a couple times there for concerts and each time they park my car next to their booth and they dont even bother getting the car for me, I just ask for my keys...

ok that's awesome, especially considering you're in pittsburgh and the chances of you valeting your car at this specific location in hollywood, CALIFORNIA, are probably pretty slim. you win!

no, it's the office building in which house of blues has their corporate office. they own the top two floors and it's got their logo at the top of the building.

ok guys.. this isn't about whether or not you valet. it's about if you happen to have the urge to, or if you're with other people who want to.. just avoid this place.

that won't do anything here. there is no 'up front.'
they actually park the nicest cars right around where i park in the garage since that's where the valets set up their chairs/coolers/etc and hang out for the night.
