Default Cop pulled me and gave me a ticket for the exhaust!

I have a question~for the sokali z owners who got pulled with exhaust..

Is it possible to bring my friend's z with stock exhaust same color same year?

Do the cop check the vin number when I go through the inspection?

Because if its possible, I am planning to go to the court with my friend's

stock z which is same year model and color too!

anybody can give me some clear answer to it!?

thank you very much

it's worth a try, but since info on your Z is written on the ticket, if they bust you, it could just get worse. good luck though.

Got the ticket from LA downtown

The thing is that i do not want the stock exhaust back on to my car...

And it will be too much hassel and waste of money to go to the shop..

I think it is ok to bring other Z with my licence plate on since there is only car's year color, not the vin#

on my ticket

NO??lol

All they have to do is check the license plate in the system to see what VIN it belongs to and then you'll be in trouble.

CALIFORNIA CODES
VEHICLE CODE
SECTION 27200-27207

" Over 80dba measured at 50ft from the center line of travel at idle"

You can't be close to 80dba at idle.

a jack hammer is 80dba at 50ft.

Get a Tester from band pro, go to a police station and show them you are no where near that. They sign off ticket. Then return the tester.
My roommate did it in high school. Worked perfectly.

If you just have a cat-back stillen, you should be within the limits here in Cali. I have known several people who have fought it. Problem is that YOU have to pay for the sound test. But after you get the sound test, they will give you a little sticker for your underhood that specifies that particular exhaust. So if you ever get pulled over again . . . you are covered

no honestly, if you do take your friend's car, and you do get in trouble, then you will be WISHING you wouldve taken the time to just get the stock back on to avoid all the headache.
