Stunt is more widely known, but there are better roads around the area for sure. Parking at the stop makes for a nice stop though.

they have an annual bicycle race on this road. it's pretty gnarly. You see guys on road bikes with full mountain bike gear on and disc brakes on their road bikes.

This thread reminds me of an old Kung Fu Sage telling me to go climb a mountain. Seek out Stunt, which will lead down Tuna, only then will you and your trusty Z be one.

plus this convinced me.

I loved stunt rd before the rains 2 years ago. Since then the roads have literally been falling apart and just patched up. I have gone down tuna before but 20mph is too slow. haha. My friend with his mazdaspeed protege actually went off that canyon trying to dogde a deer. The better roads up there would be Stunt to Schueran to Piuma, to woodbluff to cold canyon then back up mulholland.

If you are going for bicycling the best time is the mornings. Very few ppl in cars and a lot of bikes. Those guys are crazy fast. They used to let me clock their speeds and some guys were even hitting 50mph downhill of course. But some parts of become really bumpy now with all the patches.

Exactly why those great roads are burned. Can't go up there with out getting sweated by CHP hardcore if you're in a car, not like 8-9 years ago before everyone with a RWD car was a "drifter"

There are cops anywhere you go, even back in the day, you just have to pick your time and place.

With that said though, I'm pretty weary heading up stunt unless I'm in a group of some type. On busy weekends, they've been known to radar you from the top and just wait for you to get there.
