Default autocross/track events in so-cal?

hey guys, i'm fresh on the 350z scene and after 4 months, I think I'm ready to take it to the track.

This question may have been answered before, but if it has, I couldn't find it in a quick search. But where do I start looking for track events, or track runs, autocross events, etc. I've heard of this racing club that you can join, but I'm not quite sure how to go about that either.

In short, I just need a place to start and hopefully a place to drive, anything and everything would be helpful, thanks.

Yeah the D1 guys are starting to offer an autox course at their El Toro events, separate of the Drifting course. They tried it a few months ago and from what I hear everyone thought it worked well. One of the guys I run with at Porsche club events is thinking about making a competition series out of it, rather than just open practice.

www.speedventures.com
www.redlinetrackevents.com

^Those are my two favorite track event hosters.

www.touringcarclub.com is also good.
