Coming in for HIN next month...I was wondering if ya'll had any recommendations for hotels in the area pretty close that are low car friendly.

Any help would be very appreciated!!!

It's ghetto in downtown, unless you're paying big bucks for the ritzy hotels. I suggest staying 10-15mins away in the suburbs like Glendale, Burbank, or Pasadena. Lotta places to eat, and less than 20mins away from tons of places to see.

Hit us up when you get to HIN Wayne. Great to see out of towners coming to a car event or do something they enjoy.

Here's a link to the hotel guide from the Los Angeles Convention Center:

Another choice for Pasadena is the Saga Motor Motel. It's a throwback to another era, and last I looked, very well maintained:

If you want something a little different check out The Standard Downtown. Is pretty cool and you can party on the rooftop in the evenings.

I'm from Norcal but used to go to E3 every year. Our company used to stay at the Wilshire Grand which is within waking distance. They have their own indoor garage though I don't recall how it was set up.

I guess I'll be seeing a lot of other out of town guests downtown as well. Great idea, I was thinking of doing the same with my team, except we're local but have about an hour and a half commute so we're planning on just staying the night nearby since we have to leave the cars overnight.

Any of the following will put you 1 mile from the convention center. All of them are upper class hotels for the area. You dont want to stay in a Motel 6 or alike since South Central L.A. is 1 block east, west, north and south of the convention center. You wont get shot, but you may not like the people! PM me if you need more info!
