Exclamation Stay out of chino hills at night

Like the title says, stay the hell away from chino hills. I have lived here my entire life and never seen cops be so bored and just dicks. In one night (yes just one), i got pulled over for no front plate driving my Daily driver car escort to g/f house, plates ran 2x on Z later that night, than basically jet off from a cop before he could pull up to me and tick me off more, probably for the exhaust (he was parked at seven eleven with lights off then hauled but out of the parking lot as soon as i passed him) , and lastly my g/f on the way back to her house got her plates ran seriously 5x, probably by every cop in chino hills and that was just from my house to hers on one street where we live 4 miles away. Point being if you are not stock and mod friendly, you are probably in trouble. In the day it isn't too bad but try to avoid driving between 9-4 i would guess. Just a heads up to anyone near. Would hate to hear anyone getting a fix it ticket for a modified exhaust (and they will probably give you a bs ticket like that).

LOL thats same with Glendale and La Crescenta (GlendalePD).. a few months back I finished installing my amuse front bumper from shine and went to Mc Donalds at 11PM. I to-goed my food and been out for a total of 10 minutes and was pulled over by 2 cop cars for no front license plate. First question they asked was "what are you doing out at this time?" WTH?! i showed him my Mc Donalds bag and told him I got hungry. He laughs and asks me where my front license plate went. I told him I just finished putting on my new front bumper and forgot to put it on from my other bumper. Then he mentioned my exhaust and asked if it was "modified". I had a nismo exhaust with TP. I just told him, "No sir, nismo is a genuine nissan product, I got it at the dealer so I'm sure its legal." He just told me to put on my front plate when I got home and let me off with a "warning". I've seen cops hiding out millions of times at night on the same part of the street trying to give out tickets. Another time, I was driving on the same street around the same time another day. The speed limit is 40MPH and i was going 40MPH. There was another car in front of me traveling about 42?MPH. I see crown vic headlights behind me so i just put it in neutral and control the speed with my brakes (slight downhill). The cop checks out my car for a good 30-40 seconds and I guess he couldnt find anything on my car to cite me for. So he just went ahead and pulled the other car over.

I love Chino Hills since I grew up there, but I have to say f*** the police in that city. They pull you me over 50% of the time i drive through there at nighttime.

But otherwise, beautiful city.

I've never ran a front license plate and have driven cars that are rather noticeable, but have never had any problems. :knocks on wood:

I often find myself driving around at night or getting home quite late. Even if I pass cops at night, they don't give me a second look. If you drive normal, you should have any issues.

Other than the speed traps during the day, I don't have any complaints.

oh i drive normal. at nighttime im usually in los angeles or la crescenta. i dont think the cops really care about anything in los angeles because they see it all the time (beat up civics with loud exhausts flooring through every stop light). but in la crescenta, theyre pretty strict.

probably because there is no crime there.

Lived there most of my life and yes the cops are dicks about cars but because they dont have anything else to do. Irvine is the same way. When I go home sometimes to the parents, I never think "am I going to get pulled over tonight".

never been to chino hills but thats the life of having a fixed up car. I used to be so scared to drive home at night with my EK. I would get pulled over literally about two or three times a week if I were to drive at night. they probably had my plates in their system or something.

I was just on peyton and chino hills pkwy right now. I drive those streets at late hours all the time.

From my experience, the cops here are pretty chill and you only get hassled if you give them a reason to hassle you.

OT, but around last week or so, this lady got pulled over right at the intersection of chino hills pkwy and peyton. I was at a redlight and all of a sudden a swarm of cops surround the car. The cops exit their cars pretty nonchalant, but all of a sudden pull out their guns and aim them at the pulled over car. Not a sight you expect to see in this city. This was in broad daylight with busy streets too.

i think regardless, if they are bored, who better to give a hard time to than someone who drives a better car then them.... no i take that back. They just have to fill out a report on what they did all night and i don't think eating donuts will be ok to put down.

My fiancee lives in Chino Hills, off of Chino Hills Pkwy, and I can attest to the ghey-ness of the law enforcement there either it be chino hills officer or san bernardino sheriffs... I was pulled over for making a U-turn across a double yellow... even tho I went over it 2-3 feet before the break.. and this is even tho there was no cars coming in either direction for 1/4 mi.

Meh.... what can you do? At least he didn't get me for no front plates.
