Anyone an audio installer/expert in LA area?
Any good audio shops in LA area that does impeccable, clean, professional work and offers great prices as well? This could be an oxymoron because any good shop usually costs an arm and a leg?
What I would prefer is to work with an audio installer/expert who is willing to help me design and install a system, while I watch. =)
I just like to be involved in the process and learn along the way. I'll work out a deal with you?
I am a pretty meticulous and **** person who cringes whenever people do not handle things delicately and meticulously. Craftsmanship and quality is priority!
I will purchase the audio equipment online. I just need a quality system design and a clean installation.

Just so I understand.... you want a top dollar install but don't want to pay for it. You want them to "help design and install" but you will only watch over their shoulder so you can learn from their years of experience? And you don't want to buy the equipment from them?
I wouldn't want to send you to anyone I know.

for it.
I'm not saying that I won't pay for a top dollar install. I just want a fair price.

I pretty much have a system in mind already, but need to go to a place I can trust will do a clean install. I don't necessarily want to watch during the installation to 'learn the trade'. I was thinking that since this might be done privately in the garage (and not limited to a shop), I can just hang out and be involved in the process. If it's a shop, of course I would consider buying from them if the prices are fair. I don't mind paying a good amount if the installation is superb. I asked Al & Ed's and they said that it will be a clean install (but not with tie rods every 6 in.), and from what I've heard from others on this forum, they only do great basic installation. I am looking for a Pioneer AVIC-D3 headunit, Focal front components, two Alpine amps, two subs, an dynamats installed. I've heard that the quality of the install can make or break a system's sound quality... so I am a little lost as to where to take my car to have it done.

I just want to take my baby to a shop that I can trust. My baby is a brand new car, and I just want to have confidence that the installer will take great care in removing the interior panels and meticulously install the components and dynamat. A professional shop that does quality work and offers fair prices. I'm just a careful consumer now, because I almost got taken advantage of at Pacific Stereo in Woodland Hills... Luckily I checked online and saw these reviews.

I'll get in contact with you to talk about a system design, cost estimate, and then set up an appointment! =)

Thanks Bing and Dom,
You guys definitely hooked me up... I am very happy with the system.
Nice front stage, centered on the front dash, clean and tight mid bass, and crisp low bass.
My steering wheel controls work well with the IVA-W205 too!
I've got rattles in thr trunk area, and it is bothering me a bit... but dynamatting it would help?
Thanks! =)
