Default Aftermarket Wheels

for those of you with aftermarket wheels that are not compatible with our tpms system, what did you do? Curious to know because i'm now in the market for some nice 19" wheels, possibly volk(time attacks CE), work(SP1 or XD9), or ssr(professors sp1).

all aftermarket wheels are compatible with TPMS using the band method.

^Like he said, you can use the banding method. The TPMS valves will work fine on some wheels using the normal valve bore. It most likely won't work on two piece wheels. It will also only work on some wheels if the valve mounts perpendicular to the face.

For TPMS and banding information.

no it wont affect ure vdc or tcs. all u get is a tire pressure light after driving for a extended period of time. been running 19 sets of wheels from volks to work to oz's.....no problems with vdc or tcs

The size of your rims and tires can impact VDC. TPMS is irrelevant to that tho. It is literally just a pressure reading.

I don't have my TPMS installed and besides just seeing "-- --" on the trip computer thing for tire pressure, I don't have any issues. I got the tire pressure warning light for one summer in Oregon on a long drive...but I have not seen it since.

you da man, I agree with both of your posts. I also agree with gsazabi on the same note. I just deal with the light on, never had any air pressure issues. It's really only for safety purposes I guess to have these but nothing that anyone needs to go out and spend $200 for a set of 4 to get.

I wouldnt mind turning the light off tho, anyone nkow how to disconned the bulb without taking the cluster apart? or is there a fuse you can pull somewhere?
