Btw, i plan to replace both shocks/springs at the same time.
I would recommend a basic coilover set and some hotchkis sway bars... i think you MIGHT be able to get all that for $1000 installed... not sure though..

the sway bars are supposed to make a huge difference in the handling and eliminate the roll... i will be getting these in the future...

another thing to think about is that the drop you want is what I would call pretty aggressive (not to some, but to me it is)

so lets say you drop it that low and then realize you are rubbing and scrapping everywhere... then you put a body kit or a front lip thats hanging close to the ground and rub and scrape even worse... this is where the ride height adjustability of a coilover becomes a nice feature... just raise the height and you're good... if you get shocks then you really have only two options -- 1. get new springs and probably new shocks and spend money... or 2. continue to scrape the sh@t out of your car...

I STILL think though that if the OP decides to get ANY lowering springs, he will be replacing his stock shocks alot sooner than expected.. how soon, i dont know...

My experience: I have the Hotchkis springs which is a very very MILD drop... and already i am BARELLY within the camber spec, and this is after alignment and my rear tires are sitting like this /---\ , and i believe that i will need to replace the stock shocks pretty soon... on top of that i am convinced that i want to go lower and more aggresive than what i have, and if i had the adjustable coilovers this wouldnt be a problem... SO, from MY experience, if I was to do it over again, I would just do it right from the get go and get a basic ADJUSTABLE coilover set... my two cents
+ 1 That what I was saying when I mentioned the tein basics.

If your close to the San Diego area we can work on getting those installed and it won't cost you anything. We've got a workshop coming up soon and some other guys need some suspension stuff installed as well, but it's up to you.

No your absolutely right. I figured he was looking for something that costs a little less than the full coilover system. I didn't have the money when I did my springs but I was lucky enough to be able to get my tire camber pretty close to stock again. JJ if you have the money at a later date I would suggest picking up some adjustable a-arms, rear camber arms and possibly some adjustable toe links. Just in case you want to go lower with the coilover setup.
