There was a little Filipino shop here in Nashville and they had some Goldilock's GOODIES. Unfortunately they went out of business. That sucks cause I love that stuff.

Last year I was there 3 times from 3-4 weeks. It gets really expensive though The plane ticket alone is about 1K plus your pocket money to kick in the clubs and all around fun. Youd prolly need about 4K for each trip. Haha but that really depends on how you wanna spend ur money.

i usually spend about 2k for the whole month there... but then again i get love on the entrance of the clubs in Manila, QC, Timog..
i used to be a radio DJ at 106.7KOOL and after board we would go to, and promote the clubs.. in turn they get us love on the entrance and the drinks...me and the entourage. lot of fun!

hope they still remember me when i get back..

Brandon,

i'm actually planning a trip this Dec. if you would actually go, i would be more than happy to take you along.
when i was in Sac i would be the tour guide to those who wanted to go back. i had connections to the cheapest hotels, and the hotspots, transportation, etc.

i'm sure you heard about the nightlife in Manila, the best!

also before the SARS crap, i used to go shopping in the duty free in Hong Kong, RC. they had all the brand name designer stuff- you'd be surprised, Gucci, D&G, Armani, and Watches: Tag Heuer (filipinos love Tag) Rolex, Omega. what truly amazes me is that they are months ahead of us in consumer tech. i mean back in 2001 they already had Home dvd recorders, imagine noteooks that were half the size of regular laptops, with built in cameras and 'mini-disc' drives, and the phones we have here... nothing compared to the stuff they have there.

i mentioned it because i used to stop over at Hong Kong en route to manila.

transportation:
its about $1000 for Philippine Airlines straight flight,
and approximately $400 by Cathay Pacific, or Korean airlines,
which stops over in Hong Kong and Seoul respectively. From LA it is about 10 - 11 hours flight. then 1-2 hours in Hong Kong, then another 3 hours to manila. honestly i don't think there's SARS in the airport, which travelers tend to stay in anyway. plus they're too strict about that $#!+ anyways.

Yup, the nightlife in Manila is of the hook. It would blow away any club in Hollywood. Inlcuding the White Lotus
