oil change vs. smooth ride
I had an oil change last weekend and I feel that the car is smoothier and way much easier to change gear. Do you guys feel the same?
However, oil change does good to engine not transmission.
is it because an oil change makes the engine has less friction and and require less gas to keep running and that will reduce the time to hold on the clutch?
lol..that's my own wonders...haha..

actually, i'm suspecious about oil consumption problem.
i used to have that but i got an engine replacment.
oil consumption issue seems gone after the replacment
however, a oil change does make a difference on the smoothiness on the ride.

Hmmm...I thought I was the only one wondering how in the heck does an oil change affect the transmission. I used to use Pennzoil and switched to Castrol and noticed a difference with the manual gear changes. It was smoother.

My theory is that when you get an oil change they actually re adjust your clutch. I feel the same way too and love driving my car after an oil change.
I just got owned by a big *** bill yesterday for maintenance. close to $800 for regular maintenance, front brakes (rotors etc), and battery. PWNT badly by the dealer.

Both of my manual transmission cars feel smoother after an oil change, but i also think its a placebo effect.
I just switched to synthetic and the car seems to run smoother although it seems that my car is using more gas now than it was before the oil change. I think it might just be AM/PM putting water in their gas (my wife's Versa is also getting sh!tty gas mileage as well now).
