I invested more money into my brother's 1994 Supra buying HKS and other goodies for that 2JZ.

After the subprime mortgage era took a crap, I like many others went back to school to pursue a degree which was halfway done. I am satisfied with going back to school but i realized how hard it is to actually be a "poor college student" that does not work nor get financial aid(although i recently applied and am still waiting) so I have learned how hard money is to come by especially with these ridiculous gas prices and with our economy in a recession, everything spent is crucial and hard but its life.

Well prior to my departure to Japan a few months ago, I really felt like i needed to do service on my car, i was over 45k and I just wanted to do a 60k service because there wasnt a 50k.

So i decided to take my car to WCN to service it and everything was taken care of accordingly *as so I thought* and i went on my way. When it was time to oilchange my car a few thousand miles after i decided to go to Performance Nissan because it was on the way home ( I have mad respect for both of these dealerships, its not even a story of bias towards any of them I am grateful to have 2 dealerships which accomodate our fixed up cars... ) well here goes, so I go to performance for a simple oilchange and Jon was very accomdating and took care of me. When i was leaving he had that checklist and informed me that my brakes and powersteering fluided needed to be flushed and also that my EFI needed service.

All this caught from a simple oilchange from Performance.... and as i came to realize my powersteering was a bit noisy...

I was pretty annoyed that these things were not caught by WCN or I was not made aware of the issues then because I would have totally just paid for everything to be taken care of right then and there. I just lost respect for the service department and felt like the techs did not do their job.

Paying $299 for that 60k mile service i felt that they did an inadequate job, I was reading on other people complaining about the service department after Heri was gone so I took the initiative and emailed Ruben directly. I got a response probably about a week later, he seemed well mannered but basically told me that he will try to "look after his staff" and steer them in the right direction ........uhhhh okay.

I did not write this thread to bash WCN and the reason it took such a long time to write because i am not one to hate on people right off the bat and I am cool with Justin, Quan and Jon over in the parts department, I just felt that the service department did not do their job when I turned my car in.
With money being even more tight nowadays I wish I have gotten my $299 worth
im sorry to hear that bro!.Having problems at a dealership due to lack of service is always uncalled for. Most people consider taking their cars to the dealership, because they have more knowledge about specific cars and licensed technicans. I personally think its a trust factor, in which a customer should feel safe and know that the dealership will service their car to the fullest extent. I would be more cautious about taking my car to any local body shop, than a dealership. If problems persist, than this matter should definitely be taken to the corporate headquarters..

i ended up taking my car to my own personal mechanic which helped me save a ton of money

- resurface rotors install hawk brake pads
- bleed out brakes and flush out adding new brake fluid
- drain powersteering + flush
- new fan belt
- add T-Pipes
- change out diff fluid

all for $2xx +

initially i wouldve paid this at WCN if they notified me about these issues but according to them everything was fine

At least you have your things taken car of Ben, when I had my 30K service done, it was quick, clean, and they hit all the points needed. This was just my experience though, as I have had my fair share of bad run ins with WCN.
