I wish I could have made this ride. It is great seeing so many Zs with such great mods. It will make my choices that much easier.

Hey everybody,
It was great meeting and talking to the new people (all bark) and catching up with the old crew (vegas) Sorry to those I didn't get a chance to talk to, and sorry I missed the sushi battle.... We were doing some couple bonding with OC and Itoka at the beach and in Old Town.

Jae, thanks for doing all the organizing and slaving away at the grill. And thanks to your girl Karen too for toting all that stuff out for you in her SUV - you better appreciate her!

Hey Joe, when are you putting all your shots up?

p.s. I'm glad I had a good time on Saturday, b/c I was in the office on Sunday!!! SO PISSED AGAIN! From 2-5. Only 3 hours, but it's amazing how that small period of time can ruin the whole day.

Technically I won b/c Justin did not finish the stuff he ordered and had MR B and Julie finish it for him.

But he did beat me in points.

I heard differently....

And points? So different things were worth more? Like salmon was more than 1 CA roll?

I did pay for his dinner.

But the point system was really not uniform.

Points system:
Rolls: 3 points
Two pieces of Nigiri: 1 point
Hand rolls: 2 points
Amaebi with fried head: 2 points
Deep Fried Tempura Rolls: 4 points

We rated most rolls as 3 points however caterpillar rolls and spider rolls were different sizes. And should not have been catergorized the same.

But Justin won't compete again b/c his system is all messed up now.

In my opinon:
California Rolls, spicy tuna rolls, philadelphia roll, and spider rolls should be worth 3 points
Tuna roll should be worth 1 point (very small)
Rainbow roll, Caterpillar rolls (avocado and unagi), Tempura rolls should be worth 4 points b/c of the amount of heavy items inside.
If they had tuna rolls that were worth 4 points I would have eaten those all night... would not fill my pallet but those are like pop corn.

Unagi hand rolls should be worth 3 points
Salmon Skin rolls should be worth 2 points
Spicy Tuna hand roll should be worth 3 points.

And the rest of the point system is fine.

BTW via point system it was very close Jeff: 24 points and Justin: 25 points but Justin did not finish.

Default Thanks to GANZ (Jae)...

... for organizing the event. Awesome job. I wish I could have stayed longer and meet everyone but I had a friend's wedding to attend. I hope to see and meet more of you on the next event.

I'll post what little pics I have taken later tonight.

No bitterness. I messed up Justin's GI system so it was worth the 15 bucks I paid for his meal.

But the priniciple of the contest was to finish what you ordered and he did not finish.

It was a trial contest. Now we know what the rules are.

I guess I have to compete again... So I heard you are in and Barney is in too.

Yeah Justin, hope you feel better man. I didn't know you were feeling that bad. Otherwise I would've ate all your nasty veggie rolls for ya.
And yeah, I'm in this time around. I just hope I don't push my limits too far or else you'll see me doing this...
