i honestly feel as though my Z is just not as fast as it usta be... i get routine oil changes. do everything by the book. and it just feels maybe 20hp slower then avrage. i have felt this way for awhile now but i thought i was just tripping and wasnt sure what to think... i have no CEL... nothing seems to be the reason it just seems slower... only engine mod i have is the K&N Typhoon... it just seems slower in general... any ideas would be awesome. when my ride gets out the impound i would love someone else on here with a pretty much "stock Z" to drive my car and give me your opinion to tell me if you notice the same power loss as i do...if that is possible that would be great. i just feel like there is some power loss somewhere and i cant pin point it. i drive a 05 Base with less then 16k. this car is still a baby. i should not feel this kind of power loss and i think i should solve what ever this is before i go FI.

summer heat + getting use to the power = "feels" slower.

 

your jus getting used to the power, that's all.

 

 

drive a slow car for a while and your car will be fast again. It's normal when you get used to it. Thats all.

I left to Canada for work about a month and drove rentals.....When I came back and drove my Z I got that feeling when I first got her (chillz)

I guess I was just getting use to the power. Driven about 30K miles on my Z and loving every second. Only mod....JW Popcharger.

im telling you, the car is slower, i can tell... im a decent driver, i bet any stock z with will be able to pull on me np. somethings up i tell you... somethings amiss!

 

Its probably the heat. Its super hot out lately.

But like others hvae said, you may be used to it by now. My Z doenst feel all that fast anymore...but my friends reassure me it is whenever i take them for rides.

Felt the same with my Viper. Once you get used to the power, it doesn't seem "as fast" as it used to be...

 

drive the a/c on all the timne then dont for a week.

lol. same with me. when i first got my Z, my friends had civics, accords, rsx, tC, etc etc. and i thought my car was pretty quick then. but they upgraded to 335i g37, m5, etc etc so now my car feels like nothing. lol. i need an upgrade when my lease is over.
