Lets face it "MOST" of us here can't afford this right now and that's why some of us say its not worth it for 100k (obviously) and driving a 350z. Most of the guys that pays 30-40k above MSRP are millionares/car collectors and hardcore car enthusiast, but that doesnt mean the car is not worth it for 100k. If I have 100k right now to spend on a car my first choice will be ZR1 corvette (sick as power and exterior is pure $ex)...but this price is out of my league. American rice with a Pacific Islander driver FTW!

If you have to dump the wife and kid, you'll have even less for the car. It's clearly cheaper to keep her.

There's always an exception to every rule. The other 80 million wannabes won't be driving a GT-R.

I guess they really wanted to make the GTR ricerproof, by making it 100k they accomplished their goal. +1 for Nissan!

Don't worry, it will happen. The only way to make it riceproof was to never bring it to America.

Yea right!! Nothing is ricer proof. I've seen 997 Turbo's severely riced up. Being riced up does not apply to just the poor.

If you were planning on getting cars in this league, I have a strong feeling that you wouldn't be driving a Z in the first place. To jump from a 30k car to a 70k+ car is unlikely. Just my opinion though. To each his own.

I agree with what you're saying, but you should never make a quick judgement about people like that, my Z has been paid off since last year and I bought it brand new in 2003, paid off 1 year early then it was suppost to. That would be like me saying why spend the money on a C5 Z06 when I can get a regular C6 that is 5 hp less and it's newer? Or just get the C6 Z06 if you're going to spend the money anyway? Like you said though to each his own, which I strongly agree.

I've been planning on buying something a little pricey for the past year or so, just waiting to see if it was gonna be a M6 or the S63 AMG, but for that money I might as well wait to see if they do come out with the V-Spec before I jump the gun. That's why i'm glad I haven't put more money into the Z either as much I would love to go FI, it's not worth it to me. We'll see what the future holds though, hard to tell in this economy.

but i would love to get those carbon mats from you but i already ordered the factory ones for 300 with the car. i should have not gotten them and waited on these because with that price it would have only been a 500 difference to me more or less

my car will be here monday(21st) so i'll take a look at the factory mats then. do you have a pic of the regular ones? do they atleast have the GTR logo on them?
Which LEDs? Taillights?

carfi179 I disagree with you. guess you underestimate people. I have 10 cars ranging from a low Nismo Z to 911 to 520hp sedan to 80K suv to a high $200K+ Ferrari.

It is not the dollar amount that is keeping me from buying the GTR, it is the principle of the stealership raping buyers with ridiculous markups. Nissan's idea is to make a super performance car that cost half of the competition. The stealership is killing that concept. I don't know what people think but personally I think the GTR does not worth 100K.
