Look up ART certified schools on google... I only know Northern LA schools, if you are willing to drive.

ARRT certified. I dont' know how the job market is out there but it's flooded here. It's very difficult to find an xray job (or MRI and CT for that matter which is what I do now)

As far as programs are concerned... there are 2 yr diploma programs and 4 year BA programs. Both of which teach you the same thing... the 4 year is only needed if you want to go into management of some sort... Ultimately everyone has to pass the ARRT registry and we all make the same money. Good Luck!

I heard Cypress College's X ray program is pretty good.

Just make sure that whatever school you go to is accredited. That's the most important thing.

don't go to those Maric College (techical schools)... they say they are "accredited" but you'll go through a bunch of bs when goin through those schools...

There are BIG differences in opportunities in finding a job when going to those schools...

If anything I can name some of the schools here in my area... I go to Cal Stat Northridge, and they provide a X-Ray program if you are interested... There are also x-ray programs @ LA City College, Cypress College, Santa Barbara City College, Pasadena City College and Moorpark College in Simi Valley... I work in Radiology for Kaiser, and I can ask our Education director for other listings... hope this helps..

i think this career require ARRT-certified people(finished the program) to take a State-board exam for the license...

loma linda.. thats a great school.. i work in radiology.. xray they don't make that much, thats the bottom of the pole for radiology.. well its good enough with 2 incomes.. then you can cross-train in to MRI or CT which then you'll get the big bucks.. but XRAY is a good foundation to start since its in the medical field.. just keep your S value in check
