Default Hazy Headlamps

I have a pair of 06 model year headlamps which are in bad shape and was wondering if you guys know anyone that can clean it up. I don't how but looks like the inside of the lamps are growing hazy and the outside is surrounded by scratches (still on my car). I've seen the designs from TBDesigns@CINcity, but I don't think I have the money or time for the layover (not to say I wouldn't if I could). I also don't know if the dealership should be an option considering some overprice their items. Can anyone refer me to a local place where I can get this problem resolved. I saw many for sale threads for 03 -05 headlamps, but I'd rather stay with the 06 model year. Thanks.

you can sand the outside of the lens with 1500 grit, then 2000 grit sand paper. Then get a buffer to polish it out with some kind of scratch/paint blender stuff. I dont remember the exact process but ive done it to my previous cars headlights and makes the lens look brand new. The only thing is that the project is time consuming if you want them to look real nice. If you want, shoot me a pm and ill try and find a tutorial for you. I would search for it right now but i have to take off.

I think this is the same stuff I used on my old RSX, the lenses went from shitty hazy to almost brand new.

If you need help cleaning out the inside, I've got the process down pretty good for taking them off, apart and then sealing again. I'm in LB.

Also, I took one of mine to a local body shop and the guy there buffed it out real nice in just a few minutes. Didn't charge me anything but then again I just spent $$ at their shop.

I have that, but when I tried using it all I did was disappoint myself. Maybe I just don't know how to use it..

Once you have the headlights restored you might want to break down & get them covered in clear bra 3M material. Mine were about $90.00 to get them covered, kinda pricey but worth it.

Rubbing compound can be purchased at any autozone, kragen, pepboys. Look in the section where the waxes are located.

+1 i did the same thing to my mr2, the 94 taillights were very dull and dazy, used mama's aluminum polish then with a coat of wax on top and they're still shiny until today.. good luck
