Hey guys
I'm looking to tint my Z really soon, but I really dunno this area that well yet (Moved to socal just a couple of months ago) Could anyone from the SoCal area recommend a reputable shop that uses high quality tint film at great prices? I'm looking to get 20% all around (yes, I know the tint laws here)

I work in downtown LA so anywhere within a reasonable driving distance would be fine. I just want a QUALITY tint job at a reasonable price and just surfing through websites won't provide me with reviews from former customers. So any suggestions? anyone?

 

I'm in Valencia (about 40min. from LA). I had a shop called Black Diamond do my Z roadster (three windows) for $150. He did my daughters' Accord (five windows) for $225. Great work. Great warranty.

I would recommend California Tint in Rosemead. Lots of people have taken their Z's there including myself. I got mine done over 4 years ago and it's still holding up just fine.

 

bro, take it to 310 kreations in Gardena and tell him Cris with the yellow Z sent you and he will hook you up! ask for Sal. he does a awesome job and will shoot you a super deal!

Welcome to LA, enjoy the traffic! I got mine done from a mobile tint service. These guys do tint for Lexus, BMW, Mercedes at the dealerships. The owner or one of his workers come to you and get it done. Had mine for over a yr now and is in perfect condition. Excellent job took about 40 minutes. All the windows except the windshield (of course) got tinted. The back 3 is daaaaarrrrrrkkk... driver and passenger side is like a medium. $130 total. You can talk to this guy to give you a good price, make sure you got cash. Let me know if you're interested, I'll give you his info.

How dark did you guys go? I used to have 20% all around in MD and didn't have many problems with police. Should I expect trouble from police around here?

 

It's a crapshoot...You could go years and not get stopped, or it could happen tomorrow. If you are stopped by the CHP you WILL get a ticket. City police officers, not so much unless they are looking for a reason to stop you. Tint gives them a reason to poke around a bit.

california tint is where i went for mine and they do quality work.. gonna take the gf's g35 there too probably.

i dont think its lowered car friendly there though.

 

my car's lowered and i didn't have any issues that i can remember... if it's a driveway you're talking about, just take it slow and at an extreme angle and ignore the angry beeping of the excursion behind you lol (that's the story of my life..)
