You're gonna have a hard time getting a base or Enthusiast under MSRP. They're selling like mad even at/over MSRP. The more expensive models (except Touring probably) can be had for less than MSRP, because they are not selling as well.

I got my Track model with everything but aluminum kick plates and navigation (plus a free clear bra) for about $2100 under MSRP right at the beginning of August. I'd suggest you find some dealers that will play ball and then play them off against each other: Power Nissan of El Monte and Metro Nissan of Montclair will go under MSRP. I am sure there are others, but I know those two will for sure (I bought at Metro, got a quote at Power).

Hope this helps.

Does that mean you still have to pay tax or is that 1k off of msrp out the door?

I stopped there, and he only had an orange touring. He was selling for $450 under MSRP. I really wanted Pikes Peak White. If he had one, I would have done it right there, because I bought my first new car from them (1995 Sentra).

I wound up at Planet Nissan in San Bernardino, where they had THREE white Z's (I had already hit up 6 dealers before this one ... no body had white in stock) - one base Enthusiast, one loaded Touring, and one used '03 Touring with 6500 miles. The loaded Touring was selling for $38k ... I really liked the interior color. The used Touring was selling for $36k, and my Enthusiast was selling for $30,750. There was no way they would let it go for less than that. I added the extended warranty to it, and wound up paying $35k out the door (zero down).

I still haven't washed it ... Sorry Bonz ... wish I were more like you.

Here it is the next day after purchase (If the attachment works):

Default So do you have a touring or an Enthusiast?

So Msims

Do you have a Touring or an an Enthusiast?

For 35K?

Some confusion on my end...

Cheers Amy -

If you have the Enthusiast U have TCS but no VDC roger?

That is the best setup..

VDC can straighten a car up to a bad vector.

It is an Enthusiast. I added a little over $1500 in an extended warranty. I bought it on my last Nissan, and it came in handy. Without the warranty, the car would have been around $34k out the door.

You are correct ... I do not have VDC. I thought it did for some reason, but found out it did not ... I was confusing VDC with TCS. I have turned off TCS, but I can't notice a difference. BUT, it is an automatic, so maybe thats the problem.

None the less, it is the first performance car I have ever owned, next to my 1983 6 cylinder camaro ... which was pretty much gutless. The Z is really nice ... I am in awe every time I drive it.

I agree ... Performance Nissan is the bomb! They are a unique dealership to work with. There really is no need to haggle price with them, as they always mark their prices down below sticker (and have for the last 9 years that I have known).

If you know what you want, and have the patience to wait for it, have them get it for you.

The price sounds low to me ... they did tell me about a PPW they were getting in next month. I could not wait though.

OCEANSIDE NISSAN advertises all of their Z's for $700 under MSRP.... One thing about the Z's is that any of the prices we list under msrp is NOT out the door. If you get MSRP out the door that means you are great friends or relatives of a very important person in that particular nissan dealership. If you're gettin $1000 off, then you're getting a better deal than 99% of us who bought one. I got $500 off after calling about 10 to 15 dealerships, so $1000 off is a great deal imo. Good luck.
