With such a FUGLY car the value of the 350's should sky rocket!

NISSAN 370z video review and poll...
Might grow on me just like the 350z did, or maybe would look better once you change the bumpers up. Love the specs tho 500lbs lighter, 50more hp, and shorter wheel base, sounds like it has great potential to become a track beast.
Gonna be an interesting race...I personally hate it alot now, but it might grow... the new hood grew on me. But I would seriously consider swapping for aftermarket rear bumper ASAP to get rid of the underskirt camera spot
i agree, i think it OBVIOUSLY has potential but as of now, not really diggin it too much. with each upcoming year the "new model" cars will ALWAYS be better/faster then the last years (or before) models so im not going to give it a thumbs up just based upon the casual differences. One thing i dont really like is that the rear now looks like one of those bmw "somethings"... not cool from where i sit thats for sure.
i agree that new model cars will all be faster for the most part. But the probably im having is that all the new models the design is starting to suck. They are going overly agressive which just makes them look bad. The problem with the Z is that the body doesnt flow. Im not a fan at all. I rather be 300 pounds heavier and looks like the older model.

Performance seems awesome. But I can't stand the looks. I checked it out at an auto show last weekend, hoping that it looked better in person.
I was wrong. It looked so confused. Looked like a Hyundai hood in front, a lil bit of the 280Z in the side, WTF which junkyard did they scavenge the door handle from and OMFG the horrible rear taillights. The design looked like it was done by a 15-year old who was trying too hard. Interior looks nice though.
I hope they clean the body up for the 2nd generation.

Mike Kojima (the interviewee just before the design engineer) said it perfect... the lines of the car resemble the classic Z style (240, 60, 80)... the only thing that might need to grow on me (and probably most others) is the lights (front and rear) - I wish the design team could have integrated a more classic and less busy look - but the overall flow of the car is much better than the 350 imo.
If this car handles as well (if not better) than the 350, which I'm certain it will - it would be a high consideration for me to get out of my G.

agree, lolz... i think its only gonna get worse... not a huge DSM fan but i mean god... look what happened when they brought the eclipse back after being gone for a bit. wtf were those finger stripes in the doors?! once a car company goes down hill with the "new look" it normally takes awhile to get back on track, how unfortunate.

thus the exact reason WHY you bought a G and not a Z in the first place
Actually, the only reason I bought a G was for professional considerations (I have a sedan) - I was set on a Z until I had an offer that required considerable long distance driving and client needs... it so happens a similar offer was given (after I bought the car) but without the travel and client needs
I've been contemplating domestic muscle - I like the new Challenger SRT8 (big HEMI power is intriguing these days) – but after yesterday, my first road course race (I usually drag race) I’ve been thinking of getting an S2K and going FI making it a track car (I started thinking about this before yesterdays road race though)...
But now that the 370 is out, I'm kinda thinking towards it for a fun street car and decent track car… (I wish I hadn’t put so much $$$$$ into this sedan

i feel ya bro... but dam, at least 5-10 times a month i wish i had some back seats lolz... in more then a few ways i envy you my friend hehe
i guess its just hard to see past my own nose with this one. personally, ALREADY being a 350 owner THEN looking at a different body style? already being in love with my car might be what making me a little bias perhaps

For me, it’s a weekend/track car only anyway (I drive a truck Mon-Fri) - I haven’t really needed the back seats in the 4 years I've owned this car. It is a convenience every now and then (and t\like the married/not married thing, I'm sure I will miss them if I get a 2 seater).
If I had the room I'd keep the sedan AND get a 2 seater.
im totally open to new designs and cars. I love new interiors cause they dont rattle. I have a 240 as a dd and the interior rattles like crazy.
But the lines and proportions of this car just dont line up or flow well. The back looks too short, front looks like it got beat at a young age. And honestly the only time you'll notice 300 pounds is around the track, on the street i doubt it would show too much. But thats just me.
All comes down to personal preference i guess

if you have not really needed back seats in 4 years its not too late to add a little "spice" to your marriage while you still got the car

im no suspension/road race guru but thats just my thoughts on the overall "weight reduction"
I still cannot stand its looks. The headlights and taillights are ugly. I dont like how the front bumper gets narrower toward the bottom (viewing from the front). I dont like the door handles. I dont like that ugly window in the hatch (stfu about it resembling the older Z's, its FUGLY). I could go on and on...
But i do like the interior.

But the 4 doors have no purpose (anymore)
