300 lbs is barely 3 tenths of a sec in the quarter. depending on WHERE the weight displacement is actually at (this is no GTR 50/50) pulling 300lbs in the wrong spots just might NOT make it a super advantage over the 350's
im no suspension/road race guru but thats just my thoughts on the overall "weight reduction"

nope, not married. The analogy I made is because all the friends I have that are married wish they weren’t... but other friends that aren’t wish they were... I'm happily single with my squeeze that comes over on weekends (and sometimes in the morning b4 work)... every couple weeks cleans the house - works perfect for me.
But the 4 doors have no purpose (anymore)

Say what you will, but side to side, the current Z33 model looks outdated by the Z34 model.
They did ok with the styling, headlights meh, tail lights meh, rims meh, and the retro styling with the longer hood and shorter rear looks interesting. All in all, they didn't do too bad, but I believe they could've done better. Wayyy better.

Get your facts straight people. The new 370z is NOT even close to being 300lbs or 500lbs lighter than the current 350z.
The following quote is straight from Nissan's official press release
"All of these weight savings were needed, of course, to counter the added weight of the Z's enhanced body structure and new technology and safety features. The net weight reduction is 95 pounds for the 2009 Nissan 370Z over the comparable 350Z Enthusiast model."

if they kudda done better then they should have. whats the point in even bothering to release a car that would OBVIOUSLY have so much controversy from the gate.
z33 looks outdated? you could be right. as a matter of fact, im SURE your right. but the z34 looks like a shinny concoction of nuts, marbles, aluminum, duct tape and rope with niceR looking interior so if the z33 is considered to be outdated then i guess that makes me a vintage kinna guy that has a eye for refinement and style
maybe its just me but personally i would rather drive something that could possible appear outdated then drive a car that is being outclassed by something that it was designed to leave in the shadows

Maybe Nissan hired blind designers to design it? My point is put a Z33 and a Z34 next to each other and any regular joe can tell which one is older or newer, never said it looked awesome. I too would rather drive my Z over the newer model, I'm with you on that. The newer design is too complicated; lines going everywhere, sharp angles, and those god awful "fangs", while the current design is so smooth and simple. I was wondering how would nissan top the look of next Z over this one, looks like they can't. Speaking of vintage, I would love to find a 240Z and restore it, just love that body style.
