Default REAR AXLE TICKING NOISE dealers help!

i have a 2006 350z and when going slow speeds (stop/go, reverse) there is a light ticking noise. it seems like its coming from the rear passenger side near the axle/wheel. not sure what it is, but i belive it is the infamous axle problem which needs to be greased. the problem is that there is no TSB for that on the 2006, only on the previous years. what should i do? anyone in so cal go to a dealer that fixed it under warranty and not TSB? if so which dealership? i have an appointment on saturday at Team Nissan in Oxnard, if that doesnt go well i will take it elsewhere.

I don't think they have a choice, it isn't a warranty issue. I thought those things were mandatory for the them to fix. but then again, i delt with them all within the warranty period I believe.

Default TSB

TSB=technical service bulletin, meaning that its a tip for service techs doesnt mean that it is automatically warranty..only if it is an official recall are dealers obligated to fix under warranty.still kinda sux that it is such an easy repair that they wouldny just handle it..if your local give me a call im sure we can get it fixed for you warranty or not.

i have an 06 and i also had the ticking noise, i took it to the nissan dealership off the 22fwy and set up an appointment and done deal. i even showed the guy when i left after making the appointment and he said its usually pre 06 models. also it only took like 2-3 hours for them to lube it up.

I had this clicking problem on my 2004.5 with 41k miles fixed by Cerritos Nissan but I was billed 110 for the labor and the cost of parts to fix this was waived in "good faith" by the service manager. I was told that my warranty had expired.

This happened to me at Buena Park Nissan. They kept my car for half the day and when I was called in to pickup my car, I was told that they could not replicate the issue. When I was given the keys to my car, I called out the service manager and the technician to my car as I started my car and told them to stand and listen. I pulled forward in first gear (click) then I pulled in reverse (click). They just stood there looking like a pair of asses and apologized for wasting my time. I took my business elsewhere.

Yeah I anticipated the same lack of knowledge from the dealership so I printed a copy of the bulletin and handed it to the service manager when he was having difficulty researching the TSB id#.

Just called Keyes Nissan in the SFV and they will not perform the service since my car is a 2003 and past the 5 yr warranty period.
