Default your 2 cents!

ok Socal people i think i finaly found my build for my z.
after a lot of reading......
this is what i came up with.

1. MD 5/16" Basic Plenum Spacer
2. Greddy EvoTT exhaust (i like how it sounds )
3. Afe stage 2 Cai (errr dont question it)

if you like it then cool, and if you dont you can say what you would change (first guess is the cai). funds for are coming in late jan from my CD acc.

wasnt sure what to call it.
i been saving for a long time finaly opend a cd cuz i knew i was gonna use it on the car so why not make a lil interest on it, the Cd only has about 3g's so it isnt much. i have a job so im not spending all my money on the car i just want it to have a aggressive growl to it.

you don't need to spend 3k to achieve that. I'd really say if that is your savings to keep it that way.

but the stuff I would buy from your list is:
motordyne spacer
exhaust (keep the cats)

those are the biggest bang for you buck. the motordyne for power gain and exhaust for sound and visual. CAis almost always lose power and are expensive per HP even if they do and aren't that much louder since the filter is farther away from the cabin. our stock airbox is super efficient for the sort of mods you have.

or buy the parts used to save some more money... you can get very low mileage parts and expect about a 30% discount on retail.

though I personally would go for some rims/tires and springs (or coilovers) if it were my money and I was set on spending 3k... cough. lowering your car and widening the stance will make the car look soo much better and make you much happier I can guarantee it. it will also make the car much more fun to drive. 10-20hp gain isn't really worth 3k IMO.

those parts and your budget are going to give you jack **** for power, it isn't that noticeable except audibly convincing you that it is faster.

For 3 g's, I would get rims and suspension first...

For that money you can get a decent set of volks, spring/shock combo. My 2 cents

lol im not spending my savings i allready have the building up somewhere else, its only gonna cost about 1,8 or 1,9 for the plenum and exhaust.
im also buying Axis hiros.
i seen the exhaust for 1,599
and the plenum for 199.00 but Z1 had a plenum for 162.00

i havent looked into springs or coilovers because i personaly dont know Jack about them.

i think you should reconsider the exhaust. it isn't the best option out there but if all you care about is the sound then go for it. its you're car.

What is your goal for your mods? Are you looking for pure gains?

1)MD Spacer
2)Stillen Exhaust or just JIC Y-Pipe
3) 06 Stock Airbox
4) HFC OR Test Pipes
4) Technosquare Tune

In any event, troll the marketplace because you can save some pretty good $$$ if you are patient.
