either im moving to Laguna Niguel -OR- Huntington Beach... wondering what pro's and cons you guys might see for either area. I will be making the final decision by noon tomorrow... I still have not seen the Laguna condo but i will be going over there by 10am tomorrow morning to meet the guy and see the property, but so far the HB house is in a AWESOME area, very upscale and is a beautiful house but the roomies are slightly messy, kitchen floor needs a mop BAD and they dont take shoes off when they enter the house, im sure you can guess their nationality

i started the thread cause i would like to hear some other opinions on the issue... both properties are about the same in rent.

here is a little info about both areas from just a few things that i know so far...

Huntington beach:
...will be moving into a 3 bedroom HOUSE
2 different room mates (2 different personalities)
...share a bathroom
7 small blocks from down town HB
...3 very short blocks from the beach
roomies are weed heads (1 male, 1 female)
...room is average size
limited parking (we have 2 cars) and parking is in the street.
...house is literally 4 min walk from the bon fire meet (haha)
seems kinna like a semi party house, all roomies are pretty outgoing
...deposit is $875



Laguna Niguel:
(this is what i know so far till tomorrow 10am)
...will be moving into a 2 bedroom CONDO
condo is 1 mile from beach
...condo overlooks the ocean
we get our own master bedroom
...we get own bathroom
roomie seems like a college grad square. a real straight edge. (23 y/o guy)
...lots of parking as well as garage access
deposit is $500

 

Personally I would choose the Laguna Niguel spot. The living situation seems more comfortable there. Living with potheads in a party house might get old real fast. That's just me, though. You might enjoy that lifestyle. Don't get me wrong, I love parties. I just don't want to live my life in one.

 

+1 prob better parking in laguna N as well...

 

I live in dana point which is right next to laguna niguel and i can tell you LN is way better the HB. HB is not as nice and well kept. The weather is great and the people are clean cut and nice. No offense to the who live in HB but it's a nicer area. Plus you wont have to live with unreliable pot heads.

 

I'd definitely go with Laguna Niguel. HB is all the same $hit, i'd get bored

 

its not really a party house, they dont throw parties there but they smoke weed inside like everyday and go out to parties on weekends sometimes, not really any loud music or anything, they are just pretty outgoing i guess... and we have like new couches that we would be bringing that costed a little over $1,600... the GF is thinking that they might burn ****** ash stains in them if we decide not to storage them...

I vote for Laguna Niguel... sharing bathrooms REALLY SUCK!

but then I'm cool with Pothead roommates...

 

but m6 don't like pot... i still say go for the laguna place... sounds less crazy. seriously... would you consider living with two m0nkies as roomates. dood... the fire department will probably think that place is on fire all the time from the smoke coming out of the windows... hahaha.

plus street parking sucks. sharing bathroom sucks... you can always push around the "square" into trying things to expand his mind... lol.

Laguna for sure! I have friends that live there. Great place to live! Room mate seems a lot more chill. I would pick someone chill over party people anytime. Especially somewhere I plan on living. It's close to the beach too. You woulnd't be too far from Laguna Beach. They've got a couple good bars down there in their Main Street.

 

Laguna Niguel. It's very nice here.

 

I live in Laguna Niguel, further inland on the west side of the 5 freeway, I definately vote for Laguna Niguel, it's quieter and cleaner as it was already said. Plus you will have a place to take your car for service right around the corner. wink wink........

I say, if you like to party, and want to see fine b!tches a lot, move to HB. Otherwise, if you want a more quiet atmosphere and privacy, go for Laguna Niguel. Personally I'd go for Laguna Niguel. I can only stand party people for so long. Fun to visit them, not sure if I'd want to live with them again.

 

I have lived in Newport (in the single and crazy days) and have spent a great deal of time in HB, since they about 5 min away going up PCH. I will tell you that HB will be a party house for sure, even more so in the summer! Not in the way that you would be having parties there, but in the way that your roomies will be going out to the bars, coming home at 3 am all loud, maybe with new "friends", and just getting crazy. As others have said, sharing a bathroom sucks, and if you are with your girl too, forget about it. We don't know your personality tho. HB for the "single" party life; as in going out and bar hopping, playing beer pong, and bringing a different girl home every weekend. LN seems much more chill, although I have never lived there, just worked in the area. It sounds like the LN would be a better choice because a) you have a GF, b) you dont smoke weed, and c) more parking.
