looks like you JUST made the 1 year membership requirement... TODAY
anyone else signing up for Cheston's track day? I'll go if the dates work out for me..
anyone wanna lend me a helmet for that day if possible?
i signed up... but i have one helmet for the car. i donno if the motorcycle helmets are allowed because of the different safety rating. i thing the motorcycle ones are dot and snell rated... not sa rated. i have no idea about the difference though.
you don't want to wear someone else's helmet... get one for yourself... haha. it's gonna smell all funky and stuff when you put it on if you borrow one.
Hey mike xo u know how the resale value is for the kAwasaki 250 ninjas? I'm thinking about getting an old
model to learn on. Sick of the la traffic -_____-
boba... what yr are you looking at. and m6, the 250's are still called ninja.... ninja 250. nice little bike, great to learn on. i know loh has one and he was thinking about selling it. my friend has one he commutes on, but had a gsxr750 to ride for fun. crazy bastard has no car... says it's not bad riding in the rain. hahaha.

What year would you recommend for a beginner like me Mike? I know a little bit here and there about cars, but when it comes to sports bikes, I do not have a single clue. I guess I just need a temporary bike to learn and fall on so that when I get a 2nd bike, I can just enjoy it. I plan on getting the Ninja ultimately though, just enough to get me across the city. Heck if you think a scooter will teach me how to ride, then I'm all for it haha.
most places require SA rating for helmets, motorcycle helmets are M rated. You can get away with M rated helmets at some smaller drift or auto x events. Still have my open faced M helmet i started with, but then started getting hassled at events so just gave in and bought my SA05 helmet still good for another 6 years! If your looking to buy a helmet check the year, cuz im sure u can an SA05 for cheap, because the SA10 helmets should be coming out next year. (Helmets have a 10 year lifespan, but some events still let u use expired helmets.) Right now using a Bell helmet, but once that expires getting a HJC. If you want something cheap check out pyrotech helmets
