hey nel, what prgram do you use to mix on your pc? my friend used to work for newmark, and he's gonna be passing me some serious mixing programs. i hear they cost like a few hundred bucks each man. haha... he said he would let me borrow the diginal turntable also if i wanted to play around with it. just curious as to what you use?

 

im starving... need some ideas...

 

I use (and will always use) vinyl, my friend. 2 technics and a numark mixer. but if you wanna be a digital dj....use serato scratch live. ask your homie how much can he get a mixer for? I need one.

which mixer? i'll ask him. but he doesn't work there anymore though. he works at mitsubishi electronics now. yeah vinyl is the bomb, but you have to buy all those vinyls. a lot of dj's are now converting their vinyl to digital. lost easy to transport their library, and like i said, it's digital! haha.

he just has the programs now, one of which costs like 600 bucks. show me how it work yesterday, and said he will give me the program to play around. some really really cool stuff. like automatic digital beat matching and you can control everything down to a single beat. i was totally impressed. pretty awsome.

 

zen, dood, you can always upgrade man! you know this! all you need is some aftermarket parts if you don't like the pem shiet. hahaha.

 

ya I know...no skills needed to beat match and mix with those...but those are fun to play with. let me know when you get em. I want copies of the programs too hahaha I want to start playing gigs with just my laptop

hell yeah mr. dj... i'll let you know when i get the programs. i can only borrow the equipment though. like the digital turntable for mixing. it's not the numark professionsl stuff but rather the consumer line, ion. but the program will be the professional software and the consumer software. very slick.

i would think digital would be easier for dj's playing gigs. don't have to carry boxes and boxes of vinyls. lol

probably not till then end of the week. tomorrow and wednesday i will be busy with the taxes and stuff. wedsnesday night i will be too burned out to do anything. just gonna smoke on wednesday night to celebrate tax day! hahaha.
