Default Got Procharger? Got StillenSC? Technosquare wants YOU!

hey guys.

if anyone here in So Cal has the ATI Procharger (or Stillen Supercharger) installed and wishes to get their Z ultimately tuned with the stock ECU (possibly so you can dump your FMU)

PLEASE let me know, either thru PM or email.

We are looking for beta testers to get a Procharger ECU program developed.

Granted this is a good deal... But there are so many variables with ATI's binary (works great or blows up your engine)supercharger. I would be weary or someone who has a bunch of cash on hand.

NOTE: Jack... hold off and wait for someone else to do it.

Cheston,

Well, I have been in contact with Bob at Sport Z Magazine and he said that he and his staff are working out the details and will be providing a number "goal" sometime soon. I believe he mentioned later this week. Once it's determined we're going to work on getting a "tote board" up on all the forums so that we can all see how many more subs I need to win. I have all my fingers and toes crossed!

Way to go Jim

Cheston - can be a great help.. I did not feel real good about that device to Override the ECU... I'd admit I've only looked externally at the ECU override.. But I felt that someone could say Is this the device that adds more Bass Boost.. Lets play with the switches... Humm gee nothing happened.. Oh well

The device was not clearly marked, and it did not have marked the position of the slide switches as default..

I hope people did not mess with the defaut positions with out marking them first.

I'd feel better if they were in the ECU it's self..

Cheers Amy -

Default Here's how many subscriptions I need

Cheston,

Here is a link to the main Supercharger Challenge thread with an e-mail that I just got from Bob at Sport Z with information on how many subscriptions I need. It's quite a few, but not impossible. I'm leaning toward ATI Procharger, but the Stillen Supercharger is a bit cheaper I just found out so that might be an option as well (unfortunately I'd have to change the hood and front facia if I get that one to make room for it). Anyway, when I win... I'll beta test.

Default Both???

Cheston,

Ok, now my ignorance will show. I didn't know that you you could do both Supercharger AND Twin Turbo to the Z?? The Stillen is cheaper, so it might take less subscriptions to get that one . I can always save up for the TT later down the road (like 10 years or so should be enough time). Hehehehe.

Default Your Car !!!!!!

Chris:

Just take your time and complete your due dilliegence on the all of the available products. I am not trying to sell you anything I just advise you to look at the the products closely.

I chose ATI over Stillen for several reasons. The Stillen uses a roots type blower with no intercooler yet. They claim there will be one soon by I have no patience. The fuel management uses a simple 7th injector arrangement and a new hood or a cutout of your old hood is required. So the initial cost of the Stillen was lower but when you factor in the hood it's not that much cheaper.

The ATI is centrifugal. The Procharger been used in it's basic form on many domestics. It included an excellent intercooler and an add on secondary fuel pump with fuel management unit. All included. It's base horsepower ratings are higher than the Stillen. I went from a N/A best of 244RWHP to 349RWHP tuned on the dyno on a 92 degree day. When we go back to the dyno I know we will better those numers. I have a great installer who took better care of my car than I do.

There have been people on this board or no longer on this board who have had major problems. They may blame the ATI, but IMHO I feel it either was due to a problem installation or they may have had other engine issues to begin with. Who knows. Make no mistake the ATI is not going to be the ultimate power solution but it is pretty damn good. Lots of power great engine sounds and it's adds a ton of power throughout the rpm range.

The GReddy or Power Enterprise Twin Turbo arrangements are very promising and will most likely produce more power than a Supercharger but I believe cost of the units and the installations will be much higher as well.

Again make up your own mind and unlike me, try to be patient. I will be happy to show you the ATI in person if you'd like.

Jack
