I have to wonder if Cerritos is flat rate shop. That is, their techs get a percentage of each hourly labor rate charged to the customer, IRREGARDLESS of how much time it took the tech to perform repair. If so, they prollly cut corners.

Best of luck. Hope to see you back on the road soon!

Thanks John, I really didn't want to put this up because I thought Cerritos Nissan would step up and fix their mistakes, but I guess I thought to much of them which wasn't much.

UPDATE: Just got the final word from Nissan U.S.A., and as expected they will not be doing a dam thing. The reasoning was that because the parts are not under warranty they will not help. They told me to take it up with the dealership, and I was just like WTF?

Well now I will be waiting on the CA BAR, and if that doesn't work it's off to small claims court.

But so far I've learned to say F Nissan, after all this crap I will probably never buy a Nissan again.

TechoBotz this is the place I use now.
It's right next to Cerritos, and I know a few members that can vouch for his services.

I'll vouch for Baker's and Prices are good. He charged $30 (we gave him $40) bucks to do a Brake Change and Disk resurfaced on my GF's Matrix.

The CA Bar has stepped in, and started the initial complaint, but my case manager currently has 16 other cars in front of me.

^Trust me brotha that's the next step if the CA Bar can't get them to own up.
Just gotta go through the right channels first to show a judge that I tried to do what's right and give everyone a fair chance even though some companies refuse to do what's right and own up to their mistakes.
But update on the Z, mechanic was able to retap the crankshaft saving me a couple of thousands in repair costs. I ain't religious but thank God. So Z is ready to be slapped back together, but I've been waiting on some new flywheel bolts for a week already from a Nissan dealership other than Cerritos. It looks like I will be back on the road by then end of next week.

Wow!!! Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Its really a shame that this kind of thing happens. It really gives a bad name to the other dealerships that are honest and legit.

UPDATE: Z is finally back on the road, picked it up today, and have been driving like this all day.
My mechanic told me that my transmission was misaligned like crazy too, but he fixed everything, and my Z feels and drives like a brand new car.

CA Bar is still in the process of conducting their investigation, but I will update this when I hear anything, probably in a couple of months. Hopefully Cerritos Nissan owns up to their negligence, so I don't have to take them to small claims court. But if that's what it comes down to then that's what it comes down to.

Only issue I see is that you let someone else do the teardown instead of who did the install. It could just come down to your word versus theirs. Also, how do you "misalign" the tranny? It either mates up and lines up with the holes and bolts on or it won't bolt up.
