Default My 'Other' ride: Full CF chassis/frame, super lightweight, amazing gas mileage!

Ello,

So, i recently told myself that i was not going to mod my new car. All of a sudden, my income started to actually go towards my bank account. So, my brother kinda got me into this. Anyone who knows me will say, its either go big or go home. This case is no exception.

I wouldnt call this exactly professional grade yet, not that i am going to get to that level, but it is very cool indeed. I kept telling myself that i was just going to buy a used one. Then i walked into a nice bike shop and it was all downhill from there.

Make and Model:
Bianchi 928 C2C Carbon Compact
Size 55cm
Shimano 105 group

O well, i took it out already for a nice 40mi ride. Felt amazing. Its kinda funny when i pull up to the "dedicated" cyclists though. They give me a loook of "wtf are you doing on that bike with jeans and a t-shirt". I guess for the most part you do see people wearing "correct" attire when riding one of these, i guess i dont fit that look.

Anywho, onto the pics:

Nice bike, it looks like a piece of art.

My buddy recently got into bikes and has dropped some serious moola into his gear as well.

Nice bike for sure. However your philosophy of go big or go home doesn't really matter when it comes to road biking. I've seen old 60 70 year old men on old steel frames kick my ***. lol

oh yea, i completely understand. i was originally gonna go with a used bianchi imola or brava, but that side of me just came out.

i agree, it is pretty much the rider the dictates everything, i wouldnt be surprised if i get beat on an easy 50mi ride by a guy as old as my gradfather

nice bike but you need to and level the seat and flip that stem son! lol I organize a beginner/intermediate level ride out of my store. It's more for my customers just getting into it (usually older and overweight) but it's fun. Only 20 miles but it's a nice casual ride.
Anyway, here's mine
08 Fuji Team Issue
Full Shimano Dura-Ace
Mavic Ksyrium SL wheels

Very nice setup! I was considering a Fuji, saw the team issue "Toyota" and i was in awe. I picked this up at like 45% off, so thats whhat primarily sold me.

I already had the stem flipped, thinking of going from a 120mm stem to a 110 or maybe even a 100. Seat is leveled out already (had the bike fitted at a friends house who partially got me into road bikes again). Fit is great and its like a night and day difference from the first day i got it.

Wheres your store?
Whats the route you take? My bro would like to come, but hes on a single speed, Bianchi San Jose, and thats a pain on any sort of incline.

nice, it's a short local rought around irvine/tustin area. anyone on any bike is welcome. I'm the manager of the Performance Bicycles in Tustin. We're in the Tustin Marketplace and pretty easy to find. Did you see the Toyoya team issue in our fountain valley store? I know that they have one there. If you'd like, I'll do a fitting for you. Just call my cell (pm me for the number) or call the shop. (714-838-0641) Ask for Don.
