Default Moving to Seal Beach (Military) Need info

After a 3 year overseas assignment I will be moving to Seal Beach CA.
Anyone in the area that can tell me where I can find a decent apartment for less than 2 grand?
I've looked at Huntington Vista and Huntington Villas but they have some really bad ratings. I would like one that I can have an assigned parking spot. Or garage.
Also if anyone can tell me about the area would be helpful.
I'm also looking for a dealership. I'm thinking of getting the 370z.

I was originally selected to go to Ventura County, but my orders changed.

Id reccomend looking in their local paper if they have one, thats how I always found great deals in high priced areas like Coronado.

Edit: Im loving my 370

You should check the neighboring cities. That are not so close to the water.
You should check Los Alamitos, Cypress, and Garden Grove but GG can get kind of ghetto.

my dad owns two 4 unit complexes in HB.

all have atleast a one car garage and an assigned parking spot.
all are at least 2 bed 1 bath, and i believe most if not all are less than 2g's a month.

i'll see if he has any vacancies.

he's in the sunset beach area of huntington beach..basically huntington harbor area..so very close to seal beach.

Very nice, I have looked online for apartments within a 10 mile radius, but I'm sure I can go a bit further than that. Living at or near Seal Beach is not a must, but I definitely want to stay out of the ghetto.

Check westsiderentals.com. I think you need a membership with them to view listings. But my brother used them when he was searching for an apartment and he said it was well worth the subscription fee. He found exactly what he was looking for at the right price.

Thanks Ed, I have found a couple (3 bd 2 ba) for 1800 and 2 grand. My BAH is 2300, but I wouldn't mind using that as a 370z payment.
Again, the reviews were terrible.

Hey ipod, any pics of this apartment? We were looking for at least 2/2, (I'm married so you know I need an extra bath), but we'll see.

Thanks
