LOL no buttsex i promise. Thats what im thinking might have happened CircleHeart. The headlights didn't feel HOT coming out the oven. I left it in at 250 for 8 minutes though.
i used these directions.. and others...http://www.ricks2k.com/info/instructions/350Z.pdf
but yeah they were pretty hot when i took them out so that might be your issue..but be careful not to leave them to long and make sure the corners of the lights dont touch.
oh and Preheat oven.
Auto_Infantry, you can pull the lens off with just a heat gun?????????
theres this heat gun that we use, its orange in color and has 2 settings. it melts the glue at pretty much the perfect temperature and it melts it almost instantly. ive done ovens, this heat gun we use works wonders. I can pop a set of headlights open with this gun in less than 2 minutes.
you can get the heat gun pretty much at any hardware store. if you have a harbor freight close to you, go to them. usually the regular heat guns only have two settings... they all run at pretty much the same temps for each setting. i got mine for 10 bucks at harbor freight... it's the black one.
if you use a heat gun understand that you can also cause distortion... the oven is used to disperse the correct amount of heat EVENLY over the whole unit. depending on exactly how far the heat gun is away from the item being heated will determine the actual heat being provided... if you go the heat gun rout i would ONLY let a person who has completed this task without error cause practicing on your how headlight could be a bad idea.
