Default Come over to my house :]

Anyone who has done the headlight mod near my area, Irvine/newport beach, can you come and open up my headlights for me? Im either doing it wrong or I am too weak to pry it open. I failed after numerous attempts and ended up putting everything back together. If someone is free next week and can drop by to ONLY open up the headlights, I will pay you however much you ask, if reasonable. I was able to do everything else, and know how to do the rest, but can't get them open. Thanks.

Should post this on Craigslist for a complete stranger to come to your house to help you out. I'm sure you will get tons of responses.

LOL no buttsex i promise. Thats what im thinking might have happened CircleHeart. The headlights didn't feel HOT coming out the oven. I left it in at 250 for 8 minutes though.

lol brorape.

Damn, maybe i should have left it in for longer, or a higher temp. All the diy threads say 250 degrees for 7 to 8 minutes tho. How high and how long should i put it in for? Maybe my oven is just weak or f'ed up. I guess ill try doing it again next week or something. Taking the bumper and headlights off the car is really easy now, since i had to do it a couple times :]

for those who have done this, prying apart I mean, how difficult or how much strength did you guys use? I used all my strength trying to open the front of the headlights first, and only got it to open wide enough for my pinky to fit in.

^ lol... yeah some ppl forget that it takes some time for the oven to warm up.

if it doesn't come apart... stick it back in the oven for a couple more minutes and keep an eye on it. i know some ppl did this on here and they are NOT good with cars. lol.

oh yeah... hit the gym bro... it takes some strength to pull the damn thing apart. haha

well help you out. eric lives in newport. hes gunna bring a heat gun though so dont try to open them with the oven again the housing may get a little distorted. a lot of people use the oven (i myself did), and dont really run into major problems but if you DO run into a problem its not good.

just let us know
